Not great
I was disappointed in this herring. I expected better from the State of Maine. It is not that tasty, and the pepper does not really enhance it. Other brands I have tried are better. The can is also too large to my liking. Something half that size would be better so that it can be eaten in one sitting.

    I have tried all the different types of Kipper Snacks and they all have water added, not oil and are mushy. These have water but are not mushy and with the cracked pepper are absolutely wonderful!

    I really enjoyed the flavor and texture of the herring. The cracked pepper added zest and paired nicely with the smokey flavor. The smoke left a mild but distinct flavor that makes me look forward to my next can.
