Fresh, scented vacuum. Bagged. No frills workhorse
We got this vacuum to use on the second floor so that we don't have to lug another vacuum up and down the stairs. This one came with the febreze scent inside. That is a game changer and a truly unexpected touch. Now, when I use the other vacuum, it feels like something is missing. The room / carpet feels that much cleaner and nicer with the subtle, yet noticeable scent. The vacuum is uncomplicated and lightweight. The cord is long so you can get a good distance without having to switch outlets. Highly recommend. This is a solid choice for vaccuum. Doesn't cost and arm and a leg. The bagged component is actually cleaner, in my opinion, than non bagged. With the bag, you actually get to clean the vacuum by removing the entire bag and starting over. I like this one a lot!

Let me explain the review title. There is a vent on the front of this machine that will blow anything off the door, window or even on the wall if its light enough as the pictures below will show. It's almost impossible to vacuum close to anything light. There is only a 20 ft. cord on the Bissell Powerforce vacuum and it has you changing outlets if you in a bigger room more than once. So my suggestions to Bissell is put at least a 30 ft. cord and change the angle of the power vent. I will say it does a fair good job of picking up my mess and it is easy to handle.

    honest opinion
    At first I was relieved to find a simple, no perks, NO PET FEATURE ( I don't have a pet but they keep adding " pet hair" to the perks. $$$$ I dont need it. So that's frustrating) But I found this very well priced, light weight ...with no pet perks..and after trying much more expensive vacs, I decided to stick to basics and try this one. Completely happy with it, easy assembly, easy to manuver.... but this evening I noticed the brushroll area was very dirty dusty dirty. This vac has an odd feature...it blows air from the front area where most HEPA filters are located...hard enough that I have to stay a distance from my drapes, bed, clothes closet and some home decor !!! Anyway, I'm not keeping it. I think I'll get a new fan for my Kirby and hire a helper to push it !!! I'm sorry Bissell. It Just fell short.

    Great vacuum for the price.
    Great suction, cord could be longer, but it's ok. It's lightweight and not hard to push, glides easily. Blue cap on top of handle does not stay on, it keeps falling off. Haven't changed the bag yet as I just started using it.

    Great lightweight bissell
    Lightweight and easy to carry from one floor to the next. Picks up dirt great! I use mine on rugs in front of my entrance ways which collects a lot of small pine needles and dirt and it does a good job. I highly recommend. I haven't tried it on hardwood floors bc I use a swifter dust mop on them. It does come with 1 sweeper bag. Uses bissell bag 7 febreze.

    Powerful Small Vacuum
    I am a Walmart Spark Reviewer, and I had the opportunity to review the Bissell Powerforce Bagged Upright Vacuum, 1739. This vacuum is very lightweight which is a big plus for me. I am impressed with the suction power of this small bissell vacuum. It cleans well. The unit is easy to assemble with only a phillips screwdriver. It does not appear to be very sturdy and durable. The sturdiness remains to be seen. It has a frebreze scent bag at the bottom of the vacuum bag. To utilize this frebreze scent bag, the vacuum cleaner has a vent on the front bottom. The force of the air from this vent is strong. If I have to pick something up off the floor in front of the vacuum, the air blows forcefully in my face. I remain cognizant of this.

    Powerful and Easy to Push
    Great Vacuum for regular home cleaning. It's extremely efficient and easy to use. I love that it is lightweight and really easy to push. It's a good perk for me that scented bags are an option. They smell Great, by the way! I also like how easy it is to adjust from carpet to bare floor. This is a huge convenience! The attachment hose has good reach and I like the shape of the brush head. It's especially fantastic for going under couch cushions and over upholstery. Plus, the cord is plenty long, I don't have to relocate to a new plug halfway through. Having 2 dogs and a busy house, I appreciate a vacuum I can easily use regularly. I would say it works Great and smells Great. Would definitely recommend.

    The BISSELL Power Force Bagged Upright Vacuum,1739 is an average Vacuum cleaner. It does the job and the adjustable height from high carpet to bare floor is nice. The accompanying hose extender and wand are easily removed to attach to the hose. One tool that is missing is an upholstery brush. The BISSELL vacuum is light weight and fairly easy to maneuver. On that note the plastic that the vacuum is made of seems rather flimsy. I'm not sure how well it will hold up with frequent use. The cover to the bag compartment is quite difficult to remove and there was no scent from the Fabreze strip on the bag. It would be a good starter vacuum for someone moving into a new residence.

    Very light weight
    I do like this vacuum it's attractive on the outside and on the inside it works very well. It picks up very nicely picks up dirt on the carpet and the nap of the carpet. I don't like that you have to change the bag. It would be nice if it had swivel wheels .This vacuum is nice to have for an extra vacuum like one for each floor in your house type vacuum. I like that it has onboard tools to help do steps and upholstery. It does have very good suction Power which is important . I do like the fabreeze scent that comes in the bag that makes it a little more bearable and adds fresh scent to your room .
