Love this little thing!
Better than a dirt buster. Works well for daily vacuuming on hard floors. So easy to assemble/disassemble. The best feature is the detachable handle part. I can reach anything - the top of the kitchen cabinets, cushions, under cabinets, drawers. Easy peasy! A different model Bissel would be better for carpets. I have a super duper German made carpet vacuum that weighs a ton. I use that for carpets, but would grab this for quick spills etc.

Can you do a 1/2 star?
Really was expecting more. Not expecting MUCH, but definitely more. I have dysons for my main carpeted areas. I was hoping this would be good for the stairs, which have carpet. I will give it half a prop on picking up litter off of the hardwood floors. But a stray piece of rock salt on the tile or low pile carpet? Nope. The suction opening on the flat head is only an inch and a half wide. Nothing on the edges will get picked up. It did push cat hair from the low pile carpet into a wad so I could pick it up. To be fair, I tried this on 5 surfaces. Hardwood, tile, low pile carpet, shag carpet, and the sectional couch. We won't even mention the shag beyond this. The cat likes to jump up on the back of the couch when we leave or go to bed. I tried the handheld vac to get the shedding clean. It really didn't. The handheld did do decent on the couch where everyone seems to sit with popcorn. It goes between the cushions nicely and pulls up crumbs and dust. It also was the only means of getting things sucked up from room edges and corners. On tile, it picked up MOST of the hair and dust that sheds off cats. But the wintery mess of rock salt from shoes in the entry, NO. I tried it on my stairs. Big fat no. The cord is very short. I could not complete one entire room without moving the cord to another outlet. I bought my granddaughter a toy dyson with real suction, and I would probably rate this along side the toy. I wouldn't even consider it a good cheerio vac for under your toddlers high chair! My grandsons want a toy vacuum since their cousin got one. I think that this one will be going to their house!!

    Cannot find replacement filters!
    Purchased one and then came back and purchased another, only to find you cannot find any replacement filters for this vacuum. Complete waste of time and money. Returned one, kept one and will have to reuse filter until it can't be washed anymore. Will dump in trash at that point...

    Great little sweeper
    The price is great and what a value. We are senior citizens and like to sweep are carpet often. Our regular sweeper is a bigger and heavy one which we do not mind using once a week or every two weeks but for in between sweeping the Bissell 3-1 lightweight is just right. it is so light and does a great job picking up lint, crumbs and so on. We really like it and felt it was a good deal and product. It would be perfect for someone living in an apartment for their full time sweeper because it does such a good job, is reasonably priced and small to store.

    Great little vacuum!
    This little vacuum has some power! Picks up so much on hard wood floors. We have life proof floors which isn't real wood and this vacuum picks up so much dirt. Only thing I was disappointed about is I didn't get the color I choose.

    Perfect vacuum for me.
    I love this vacuum. It is lightweight which I love. It cleans hardwood floors and carpet great. It is easy to get to the filter and clean plus you can take the hand section and just use it. It was well thought out on its ease of use. Thank you.

    BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
    I bought this for my dorm room and just tested it out today. It picked up dirt and dust that I didn't even see before. Don't let the price fool you, it's definitely a great vacuum for small spaces.
