Works great for unruly hair
We used this on my sons hair who has crazy cowlicks. Regular styling items aren't strong enough to hold his hair up but this product works well for him. This has a thick consistency and a pleasent smell. Myself as well as my son are happy to have found a product that finally works to hold a style to his hair.

Received this product for review. Enjoyed this product. Somewhat minty but not overpowering. Not sticky, must massage into hair in order to reach skin underneath the hair. Moisturizes skin while making beard facial hair look healthy, not flaky and keeping hairs in place. Somewhat to a shine or glow. Liked it Thank you.

    Excellent quality
    I am a regular user of the Aveda Men's products and was glad to see there's a grooming clay for hair available. In my opinion, I liked the scent of the clay. It wasn't overpowering at all, my hair smelled great and the style held all day. The clay is very pliable and dries matte, it also doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky nor do I get any flaking once its dry. The price is a bit on pricey side but definitely well worth every penny. Plus you don't need a lot, a little goes a long way and you get 2.5 fl oz. so product should last a while. Overall, Aveda grooming clay is excellent quality and added good texture to my hair. I highly recommend the grooming clay and recommend for better results to use on damp hair.

    Not too glossy, easy to wash out Clay
    The clay has a light scent that isn't overwhelming. I thought it would be very glossy, but it's only slightly glossy. It's water soluble so it easily washes off hands. Easy to use and held my hair up without weighing it down.

    Great Grooming Clay
    This clay blended into my hair easily and didn't leave it greasy looking. It smooths out the top of my hair so it doesn't look puffy or flyaway. It doesn't have a strong scent so it won't clash with my cologne. This jar will last a long time because I only needed a small dab for my hair.

    I would definitley purchase this product in the future!
    I am cursed with very fine hair, so I have tried just about every brand of pomade, fiber, clay, on the market. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the Aveda Grooming Clay. The consistency is about perfect...not too light that it doesn't do the job, and not so heavy that it clumps and creates an 80's punk look. What I like about this product is the natural look...not a wet unforgiving look. Nice sheen and workable throughout the day. I can spike all the way up...or flatten it out. The fragrance is a masculine pine based scent. I was not aware of this product prior to this experience, but I would definitely purchase and recommend it in the future.

    Adds JUST ENOUGH texture to my hair
    Another great product from Aveda. The putty has a nice smell and after adding a small amount into my palm and rubbing my hands together for a bit to warm it. It smooths through my hair and I'm able to style it the way I like. I do find if I don't take enough time to warm the product up I do need to add a drop or two of water to make it run through my hair more evenly without clumping. I have cow licks all over my head and am able to part my hair to the right and smooth everything out if I do that. So the days I want to spruce myself up a lil bit, this is the perfect for those kinda days.
