Very good for sprouting
I wanted to grow wheat grass to juice and for my chickens to eat. Search for cheapest price and Walmart's certainly got this brand beat everyone in price including Auguson Farms themselves. The wheat sprouted in 3 days and by day 7, I have over 2 inches of grass growing.

Disappointed
Very unhappy with our order we just received. We ordered 4 buckets of wheat and it was very obvious that the one bucket was so much lighter. Now if it was just a pound or two I would not have mind but we weighed it and it only weighs 18 lbs. The other 3 was like 26 lbs! Thats a huge difference!

    Always very clean wheat and top quality. Price is about as good as anywhere, but it still bothers me to pay $1.50 per pound when the growers get about 10 cents per pound.

    Healthiest choices for our families.
    I'm a fan of Augason Farms wheat. We love milling and baking with this excellent product, and appreciate the price as well. Fresh home-milled wheat flour is the healthiest way to use wheat in your cooking and baking. I don't use store bought flour anymore and my family loves it. Great source of vitamins and especially fiber. Keep it coming!

    Too Dense
    I have only Prairie Gold hard white spring wheat berries with which to compare this Augason Farms wheat. It seems like the gluten content is not sufficient to provide the elasticity needed to get a good ride. I did everything the same when grinding and mixing. The taste is good but you can make a good sandwich with this because of the heaviness and density. I have attached a picture with Augason compared to the Prairie Gold loaf on the right. The Prairie Gold is light and high.

    Great product
    Wanted to try my hand at grinding my own wheat for bread. The local store carries the bags, but rarely. This was the best deal I've found for home delivery. Looked at amazon and others, but the shipping is outrageous. Shipping over $50 was free for this, and even lesser amounts was only $4-5. So far I've had 3 grinding sessions, making enough for 2 loaves each time with a little left over. Absolutely no regrets!!!

    Great source for southern wheat buyers
    Shipping was extremely fast for this order. Price per pound was even cheaper than the Sams larger bucket prices from Augasons. Will be orderering this on a regular basis for my bread making . Would love for them to carry the soft white wheat as well!

    Very comforting to have in my posetion.
    I do not know what this hard white wheat tastes like, but I do plan on trying to cook some of the many recipes that use hard white wheat, even if it is just as a cereal. But for me, the greatest satisfaction with this purchase is seeing the words 'Best by 2043'. It is very comforting for me to know I have something healthy to eat in case of an emergency. The storage container is square and is probably smaller than a five gallon bucket and easily stacks and transports. Don't forget to prepare a clean water source.

    I love the container!
    It was hard to rate the value of this product because the price jumped WAY up after I bought it and I am not sure if its going to stay up or go back down. In any case, the quality of wheat seems to be good. No complaints. I am mostly in love with the container though because it is just a great space saver compared to round buckets and the because it is smaller than most bulk buckets of wheat, it is a much more manageable weight. I have every intention of ordering a variety of products from Augason Farms now.
