Great Product
I have to say that this is an excellent product if you are looking for long term storage. Product rehydrates very easily and is great. I will be buying more.

strong onion flavor -- mostly air in the can---
sold by weight not volume so the can is very deceiving as it was mostly air inside with only 1,4 pounds of dried onion pieces. not at all space saving or practical. nice big can for other uses after pouring the meager contents into a jelly jar.. but the flavor was nice and strong. one time purchase however. most Augason products suit me.. but deceptive size packaging annoys me. $9.78 = 1.4 pounds dried vs 69 cents = 3 pounds fresh that can be chopped and put in a dehydrator.

If you like the taste of onions. These are amazing! I use these in everything! Soups %26 sauces %26 hamburger for meatloaf %26 meatballs %26 white castle burgers! The list is endless! If your making something that requires awhile to cook. Just put them in your meal without hydrating. You'll have to decide how much to use, after using a few times. When you use them dry in sauces ect they are stronger. For the price I paid bought 2 more cans. The brocolli %26 cheese soup- potato soup- powered cheese- potato shreds are great also. Use your cooking skills to make everything your own creation. I'm very happy!

    Decent
I believe the onions are fine, but they are sold by weight, not volume. When I opened this #10 can it was only 1/2 full. Why not save the packaging and put it in a smaller can? I had wanted a full can, not 1/2 full. A bit disappointed in that. Onions themselves were fine. Not sure why these photos uploaded sideways...it's not like that from my end.

Augason Farms Dehydrated Chopped Onions 23 oz
Love this product, find I use it in soups, stews, meat loaf, meatballs, etc..... So easy to just keep a smaller container in the kitchen and dump into my recipes. Thought a can this size would last longer but it seems I am always reaching for it in my spice cabinet.

A much better way to have chopped onions
I haven't opened the Dehydrated Chopped Onions tin yet, but I have used the product before, and really like it. I tried dehydrating chopped onions with my own dehydrator and I won't do THAT again! It took 24 hours, and my house was barely livable, and the end product had very little taste. I use chopped onions stews, soups.

    Seems OK
I'm just trying it.. I like dried onion for almost everything. Little expensive when buying one shaker jar at a time. This can looks like it will replace the McCormick I usually buy at about $5.50 per 8.25 oz. about 3 or more times. It's a little coarser and takes some shaking efforts but works. Flavor is onion .

    Great value!
I live alone and I need products that have a long shelf live. These dehydrated chopped onions are great! I am so please with them! They are good in anything that you would normally cook with onions in. Too often things ruin before I can use them up and these are great!

    Chopped Onions
They are very good. It saves money by not having to buy the little bottles of chopped onion. Sprinkled on hamburgers and then cook them, they are great!

Dried onions bits just as you would expect
Others are right that the can is half empty, but it's sold by weight and is packed in nitrogen to help it have a shelf life of 20 years. There's no oil in it to make the product go bad, so as long as it's kept cool and dry so the can doesn't rust it should be good forever. The price is the lowest per ounce I could find for any dry onion product. I experimented with rehydrating some, but I plan to just use it dry or mix it in with other foods. It's potent, so people might notice you've eaten onions.
