So disappointed
Maybe I got a bad pair but the audio quality is terrible on mine. I'm talking dollar store headphones quality. Incredibly empty and tinny.

    A slightly better consumer headphone
    Good sound and build quality on these headphones, but it does sit a little hot on the ears after a while. I wouldn't say that the frequency response neutrality and detail is up to the standards of proper audiophile gear (open-back electrostatics, planar magnetics, etc.), but then again neither is the price. The impedance on these headphones are a little bit on the high side to be driven to its full potential by embedded sound chips on most consumer computing devices, so I end up jacking up the volume a lot higher than for most consumer-grade stuff.

    just had to write review since nobody had a review on the blue ones they're just blue they always come out with some type of special edition every year. My daughter has the gray ones that was last year's special edition mywife has th white ones and my son's got the regular black ones so I just bought these blue ones that way we can all tell them apart and who's who's but they all sound the same they're great I mean these 50s set a certain standard in audio world of headphones today I got gredos for some real good listening sessions at home with a nice headphone amplifier and DAC and all that good stuff but you know but I needed something to go with me everywhere and steel get that nice good sound quality. Just read about what everybody always says about these things I mean everybody can't be wrong , I know there is better cans out there you can't go wrong with these things just get them don't look back you'll be happy.

    Almost Perfect.......
    This headset has excellent sound quality and build quality....but it is very uncomfortable . The clamp force is too strong( my head is not big neither) which lead to giving me headaches after just an hour of use. Most definitely would have kept them as they would have been perfect if there was less clamp force and thicker cushion on headband and earpads , but in the end i returned them for the Sennhiesser hd 598SE which i love very much. Side note: I ordered from Wal-Mart. Com which i will never do again.........my package came damaged and scribbled all over for the second time as if it was already used and not new as advertised. Order your expensive electronics from Amazon or Bestbuy if touyou like your stuff looking like it was handled with care.

    Best headphones in the market for the price.
    I've bought these headphones twice now. I gave my first pair to a friend who needed them, and the second pair got stolen. I'm about to purchase a 3rd pair because these headphones are just OUTSTANDING. Sound quality is great. crisp highs and deep lows. I've used these for gaming, movies, music, on my PC, and on my phone. They perform great and don't need any amplifying. I've owned the Black ones, then the red ones, and now I'll get the Matte Gray ones because they look dope! I recommend these to anyone. I had the ones that didn't have the detachable cable, which kinda sucked when using them on my phone because the cable would pull the phone off my hand if I didn't hold it tight or weave the cable through my fingers, but that's been corrected with the latest models. For anyone curious about these headphones or wondering if they're good for Monitoring. THEY ARE. If you got a good sound card, you audio files are WAV or FLAC, and you got these, you'll be able to hear every single sound in the song or movie. I also noticed a increase in the range a which I could hear footsteps in FPS games. Since they're capable of reaching such lows, that just gave me a great advantage when gaming. Forever my favorite headphones!

    The best headphones at any price for most uses!
    As a teen, I sold mid- to high-end audio equipment, and I have also worked as a professional musician and singer. The Audio Technica ATH M50X are infinitely superior, audiophile-quality, true "professional monitor headphones". Many sound engineers, musicians, and other experts believe that they are the best sounding all-around headphones available at any price (for most uses.) The ATH M50X's have incredibly detailed, realistic, rich, luscious, and exciting sound. Their impedance is very low so that you can even use them with your portable electronics. Many trade publications have awarded the ATH MX50's "best of" awards. Anyone with any expertise about music will tell you that they rival models costing 10 times the price. Just read the reviews published by audiophile websites and publications, especially the unbiased ones that do not accept advertising!

    Literally the best headphones I purchased!
    So I ended up purchasing these headphones on accident. My puppy chewed the cord off of a pair I previously had, some cheap AKGs I was frustrated with. So I did a lot of research for the best reviewed headphones, affordability and something that would give me a good response and block outside noise, since I am a drummer too. These ended up being the best headphones ever. They sound amazing and you can actually hear low end well, but not super loud like beats. It's a true flat response and it has actually helped me in producing better sounding music. I actually went back and listened to tons of music when I first got them, because I wanted to hear what a lot of my favorite tracks sounded like on them, haha. So definitely listened to some Noisia and Tipper, and it was awesome. I definitely recommend these to anyone. They also came with 3 different types of cable (length). So I can use one for my studio, one that I can take anywhere, and a back-up (the shortest one), The cables come off and you can replace them which is great. So, if my dog decides to chew off the cable again.....I can still keep these :)

    Great audio bad leather bad container
    Very good in audio quality. Top marks for it. Best balanced sound. Great swivel design. At this price tag though I would have preferred good leather and also better hard case container to store my precious headphone. This is the only reason it let me down. The next iteration should bring the Bass switch and some more isolation if possible. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE in the next iteration.
