variety of atkins bars
My entire order of atkins bars (11 boxes),,,had melted at some point in the shipment. I live in Florida and was home when the order arrived...so I know it had to have happened somewhere along the line. Some of the bars were 1/2 to 1/3 the size they should have been. I ordered all different kinds of bars,,,and the only one to fare well in the shipment was the Peanut Butter Granola bar,,,,all the rest had some degree of melting. I kept them only because my choice of bars is very limited in the local store. So beware when ordering perishable items. My wife uses Walmart.com all the time and never runs into any problem,,,until now.

    These bars are really good; however buying them on line during the summer time is not good. When the UPS driver gave me the box I could smell the melted chocolate immediately I put the box in the fridge so they could harden which was ok but when I opened the package it was still messy with all the crumbly chocolate. Until it cools down I'll be ordering from Atkins.com directly. The cost is a dollar and some change extra a box but every time I receive a order it comes packed with ice packs and in perfect condition and that's worth it to me. But all in all these are good and you don't feel like your sacrificing taste for nutritional values and as far as the gassiness mine didn't start with this product. As I've gotten older my body digest many foods differently and I found digestive aid at the Vitamin Shoppe called Daily Essential Enzymes with helps with the odor. I still get gas I just don't smell bad if I take one capsule before my meals and I also take Gaviscon which helps move the gas so it does not get trapped it's worth spending extra so I can stay on track.

    Oh so delicious!
    The Atkins cashew trail mix bars are wonderful! They taste like at least 2000 calories per bar, ha-ha. Highly recommend.

    good snack bar
    Tastes just like any chocolate granola bar you would buy in the store. Does not have a diet taste to it at all. Very good for a meal replacement since it is on the higher end of carbs. I try to stick with the ones that have 2-3 net carbs. I don't think I'll buy these again because they are too good and I think I'd be tempted to eat too many.

    Normally, my household does not enjoy this type of snack but these bars are incredible. I cannot recommend them enough for someone maybe following Atkins or looking for another bar option on another diet. Give them a try - while a bit pricey, they are worth it.
