I had an AirmannFirst Class try these out. He has become quite an expert on workout clothes. These shorts are awesome. They are made out of lightweight material. Elastic waist with a drawstring. In military clothes, he wears a medium. These were medium and true to size. He liked that they were a bit longer than some running shorts. After he modeled them for this review, he took them back to base with him. He says they are his go-to for running and for sleeping in the barracks. And yes, if you look at the picture, you are correct, that I'd a baby goat in our living room. Another story for another day. In the past year, I have become a sewist (a person who sews, because sewer gives the wrong impression.) I've started looking at fabric and construction on everything. These are sewn well. No loose strings or unraveled places. The mesh is not so flimsy that you could easily poke a hole in it. The drawstring doesn't slide out at the slightest tug. I was pleased with everything about these shorts. A good value.

Average Fit for Men!
Gave these to my husband to use for working out and playing sports. He said that the Athletic Works Men's Active Mesh Shorts were very comfortable for him to wear during sporting activities. They allowed for ease in movements and ample space to maneuver freely. The shorts are a soft mesh material and the fabric is completely breathable. He loves dark colors, so the black shorts were perfect for him. They are a bit thin and slightly tighter fitting in the hip area for my husband, but the overall feel was great. He has used them as lounging shorts, worn them to the gym, as well as working out. The side pockets are perfect for carrying keys or other small items.

    Good basic shorts
    I got these shorts for my husband in size large in the color black. He says they are comfortable and nice for being active or just lounging (he does more of the latter). But he said that he wouldn't wear them out to run errands because they are a bit short. Being that they are mesh with no lining, they could be see through with white boxers underneath, but haven't posed a problem yet. Overall, he said he likes them and thinks they are pretty good quality. They have been washed a couple times and still look like new so they seem to hold up well. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good basic shorts.

    Nice, Basic Lightweight Basketball Shorts
    The shorts are made in Bangladesh. They are 100% polyester. Machine wash cold. Dry only on low setting. As to fit, I wear a size 36 waist in jeans or dress slacks. I ordered the 32-34 Medium size as past experience with shorts like this in the 36-38 size have been too loose. These fit me perfectly and have the amount of elastic support that is necessary in order to keep them where they belong, whether shooting hoops or playing tennis. I am 5 10' and they fall right about knee level. These have two pockets that are rather deep. More than enough to carry a few tennis balls on the court. They also have built in tie straps in case you need to cinch them down tighter. These shorts are definitely lightweight, mesh construction. You can easily see light through them. Obviously a good thing for strenuous activity and the ability to wick away sweat, but choose your undergarments accordingly! Definitely not the type of shorts you could choose to go Commando with. All in all, about exactly what I would expect from a pair of shorts like this.

    These are a great price. I needed a drawstring as hubs needs help in the “behind” department and needed pockets to hold a small medical device. These shorts fit the bill- and did I mention the great price? I was worried they would be scratchy or super poorly made due to the price, but they were not. Although I did wash them before the first use. Not sure what the holes are in the material- but I guess they look athletic that way. The fit was just as expected. They make great sleeping shorts. Now, they are not $50 expensive and brand name shorts- but have I mentioned the great price? Overall- just as described, good shorts with the amenities of pockets and a drawstring- and a really great price. No negatives or complaints from me!

    Son loves his shorts.
    I got a pair of these shorts in black for my 13 year old son for gym class. And he absolutely loves them. He has many other pairs of gym shorts. But they all seem to fall down from the waist. These actually stay on his waist and the draw string helps and stays put. He also stated he really like the material , very comfy to wear and he wants more in other colors. Easy to wash and dried super fast. The price is unbeatable

    Lol. This shorts freaked me out as soon as I took them out of the package. They are very, very see-through. My girls said, “please don't let daddy wear those in public.” When he saw them, he also said that they were a bit see-through for his taste. I still told him to try them on. First of all, he loved that the inside mesh is NOT a panty. Usually, those kinda shorts have those panties inside that cut off circulation to men with thick thighs. My husband usually ends up chopping them off and wears his own boxers underneath. This shorts don't cause him any isssues. The mesh inside is the shape of the shorts, so they are comfortable even with him wearing his bright yellow boxers underneath. You read that right: bright yellow boxers. He figured he'd come out and the girls would cover their faces with embarrassment. Surprisingly, we couldn't see anything. Even though the shorts are two meshed fabrics, together, they block what is underneath. They immediately became his favorite shorts! The mesh allows the breeze to go through. They dry very fast when sweating or getting wet while washing the Jeep. Totally love this shorts. They make my husband happy.

    These shorts are made out of 100% polyester, they are comfortable and they feel so smooth and soft against your skin. The 2 lining's in these shorts will keep your legs dry even if the rest of your body is sweating.     I'm very pleased with these Athletic Works shorts. The ricehole mesh fabric helps to circulate air and keeps you feeling cool & dry. They are also lined with a soft tricot liner, so you don't have to worry about them being see thru. They are also extremely comfy and have a elastic waist band with drawlcords, so you can loosen or tighten them for a better fit. They also have side pockets, which is great since a lot of other athletic shorts don't have them. The pockets are big enough, to easily carry your cellphone and wallet. I have washed them a couple times & they wash up very nicely. No shrinking or fading. They are very nice performance wear shorts and seem like they'll last a long time. They have held up great so far. I would highly recommend these if your looking for some comfy and well made shorts.

    Athletic Works Men's Active Mesh Shorts are awesome. They are made of 100 percent polyester and has side pockets. Comes with an elastic waist band with drawcords to make them fit. The shorts are so cool and comfortable. They are very stylish shorts whether you wear them in the gym, go for a walk, going on a short trip or vacation, and even for just wearing around your home or outside doing chores or going shopping. These shorts fits perfectly and are very true to size. Mesh holes in the material for breathability. They feel very light, smooth to the touch of your skin and wow so soft. Stretch to your every move. They will keep you dry even if the rest of your body is sweating. Machine wash in cold water. The shorts are very durable and stylish and should be in everyman's closet. Well worth the price and a great value. I have no negative comments only positive ones. I would recommend these shorts to anyone looking for comfort and style, looking and feeling cool. I would buy these shorts for my family. It's so great they come in different colors and sizes.
