Perfection in a smaller size
I purchased the iPad Mini with Retina display to primarily use for work, and love the smaller size that the mini offers. I have had a iPad 2 for a number of years and the whole family enjoys using it daily, but it's a little large to travel with on a daily basis.
The iPad Mini with Retina has all the same features as the iPad Air, but has been convienetely placed in a smaller package.
It's very light weight, the retina display looks amazing, the photo quality makes taking pictures worth using, FaceTime is great for when I'm traveling and can still see the kids clearly, and the A7 processor with the improved wifi makes it much faster than my iPad 2.
Apple nailed it with this one!

So Far So Good!
I had an Apple Air 2 and damaged it (dropped it). I decided instead of paying the money for another Air 2, I would purchase the Mini. So far, so good. It obviously doesn't have the amount of screen space as the Air 2, but I expected that and therefore was not disappointed. The only problem I've noticed is the touch screen is not always responsive in certain areas of the screen. Maybe it's me. It just seems that way. But, I am quite satisfied with the size of the Mini. I can put it in my bag, purse, etc. and not worry about it. As I said, so far so good!

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/19/2016Yes, as good as they sayI'm VERY frugal, so for me to spend money on an Apple product, still seems surprising. I have a smaller Kindle Fire and love it, but last year I wanted a larger device that was more flexible (Kindle's proprietary software doesn't always play nice with other devices and apps). When I saw an iPad's display compared to others, I was hooked. I actually bought one almost a year ago, but in an extremely careless, stupid moment I recently dropped it, shattering the screen. I definitely wanted to replace it with the same device but was still concerned about the cost. There were so many positives to an iPad, the customer service, the ease of use etc. I didn't want to switch to something else. At that time Walmart had an incredible price on it, so buying a new one was almost the same price as replacing the screen. The next morning I bought it online and picked it up 3 hours later at the nearby store. I'll be honest, I don't shop at Walmart often (maybe 4 times a year) but the price and availability for this made it the only choice. The staff at the nearby store was wonderful when I picked it up, so now I do have a lot of good things to say about Walmart. You can find all kinds of reviews for this device, but here's why I bought it. The quality of the screen and pictures is wonderful. The size makes it easy to put in a purse and carry with me. We drove 6,000 miles recently and I used it to take gorgeous photos and then could save them to the iCloud. Thank God for that, as I hadn't done it yet with my latest photos (I dropped it the night we got home) and I thought the 300 pix of the National Parks were lost. But the shattered old one was still capable of working, so I VERY carefully uploaded. It's also quick and easy to send photos or to share to Facebook. The battery lasts a long time. When I've had problems I can contact Apple for help. Granted, sometimes there's been a wait, but they've been really good. Some of the initial "triage" people aren't very helpful, but I kept at it. One quirk with Apple I have to warn you about. I turn off my auto-upload, but on a recent update, those settings default to being back on. So during our trip, I went through almost 2 GB of data a day because I didn't realize it was uploading the hundred+ photos and the videos I was taking! If you don't want that function, make sure you turn it off. As I said, I'm REALLY cheap, but I barely thought twice about buying this device again.BratCityWoman

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/18/2016Best deal online for this version of iPadI almost made the mistake of buying this item on Amazon. A friend told me about this at Walmart and I was able to get 32GB for the same price as 16GB elsewhere. Since it was a prize I was giving away, I was thrilled that I was able to get more storage for the same price I was finding elsewhere.Nick

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/08/2016Perfect!!!I'm an attorney and the iPad Mini 2 is perfect for the office. It's as if I carry the office in my hand when I go to court. I can load all the files and documents I need on the iPad for the day. With iCloud I can load all of my files. I now have a paperless office thanks to the iPad Mini1Rtglaw

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/12/2016iPad mini 2 32GBThis is my second iPad mini 2, I gave this one to my wife. I love the mini for its potability and weight. I also have a iPad Air 2, Mac mini and a MacBook Air. As you can see I love how seamless the devices connect together and the build quality is excellent.Unknown

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/31/2014Perfect size, great priceI read quite a few tech reviews before purchasing my iPad mini 2 and learned that the mini 2 with retina display is far superior, visually, than the original mini, and I also learned that there wasn't a significant difference between the mini 2 and mini 3 to warrant the additional expense of the new mini 3. I also learned from my readings that it would be best to upgrade from 16 gb to at least 32 gb because the 16 gb may be used up quickly with apps and photos, etc. The day after the mini 3 was introduced, Walmart dropped the price of the mini 2, 32 gb, by $150 and I ordered it immediately. I'm delighted with it. It's the perfect size - a little larger than a Kindle - and it's so easy to take anywhere. I have a Macbook Pro and an iPhone and with the addition of the iPad mini 2 it's time to take some classes and learn how to use them all together. iCloud here I come......Babbittbythesea

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/10/2014Best thing since sliced bread.I received the item days earlier than I expected. I love the iPad mini. I have just about chucked my laptop. I previously owned a Kindle Fire HD. I ended up sending it back. Most of the apps that I downloaded for it didn't work or didn't function properly. The IPad is great and the apps are terrific. I love it.Mugwa122

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/01/2013I love this ipad!!Honestly worth getting. I have an iphone 5 and I wanted to know what it was like to get an ipad. So I bought the 32gb. It has plenty of memory for all my games and pictures. I can search the internet without using an old laptop and not worry about waiting for anything to load up. Definitely worth itUnknown
