Like the gun cabinet
I really like the gun cabinet, so far. It arrived on the scheduled day, in good condition, and was fairly easy to put together. I did have some assistance from my adult son, which helped a lot. All the pieces were well identified, and the instructions were clear. Our only problem was with the illustration for the door hinges was not clear enough in detail. We initially put the hinges on backwards. The door worked, but the door lock interferred with the cabinet . We re-installed the hinges and it now works perfectly. Overall, I am pleased with the ordering, delivery, and installation process, so I would recommend this product for the value.

This cabinet in the picture looks like darker wood, which is what i needed. But when you open the box, TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOR. OK if you want almost yellow looking wood. Very bright maple looking wood.

    Absolutely horrible
    The door was cracked from the top to bottom when we opened the box. I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. We built it, had numerous problems with instructions and a majority of the pre-drilled holes not lining up. We ended up building it and getting it together, without the lock because it would not fit. Within 3 hours we heard a crash and went to the living room, and the whole door fell off and the wood splintered to pieces. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. We followed all of the instructions clearly and the wood door cracked.

    Excellent gun cabinet, great value
    This gun cabinet was purchased from Walmart and shipped by OJCommerce. What appears to be an identical cabinet is available from other sellers for similar or higher price, but Walmart offers the ability to physically return if damaged rather than repacking and shipping back. Highly recommend the Walmart price and convenience for this item especially. The box arrived undamaged, unusual for a larger awkward heavy package. Packaging was outstanding, everything fit tightly and had ample padding and protection. However, boxes like this often suffer minor shipping damage with scrapes and slashes, and this one was no different. Fortunately there was no damage inside the box, only superficially. However, the finished side of the cabinet panels on the "top" of the box face up. If the box is damaged deep enough the finished side of the panels will suffer damage. It would be better if the panels on the top of the box faced down, leaving the panels at the bottom of the box facing up with their finished sides already protected. This would protect panels at the top of the box from minor damage to the box. The cabinet once assembled shows as a much more expensive piece of furniture. Fit and finish are excellent. You could easily see a furniture store selling it assembled for $500. All pieces fit together for assembly perfectly. The hardware package contained exactly the number of pieces needed, not too many, not too few, unusual. Instructions were cryptic but accurate if you went slow and careful. All parts had a letter that matched the instructions. "Dry match" each part with the correct hardware before assembling that piece works best to avoid mistakes. It took maybe 1 1/2 hours to assemble being slow and careful. If I had to do a second one I could have done it in 20 minutes or less. When completed the bottom compartment's floor is lower than the bottom horizontal rail that the door attaches to. I found that awkward so I cut two front-to-back pieces of wood that were 1/2 inch lower than the front rail, then cut a 1/2 piece of plywood to fit on top the of those making the floor level with the rail. Decreased capacity in the compartment but made it less likely to lose things in there. Two notes on the instructions: Glass door hinges must be used with the correct side on the frame and door, they will not work backwards. That is not mentioned. Bottom door hinges do not have that limitation, but probably should be screwed to the frame rail before the frame rail is installed as there is limited room to work a screwdriver after everything is assembled. This is not critical but could be annoying if you don't have a short screwdriver.

    I would not buy this product again.
    Carrier left the box on my front porch. The box had been Scotch taped close. After opening the box and looking at the Parts List, I checked that all items were there. I found that Panel D was damaged on one corner. Major damage was to a corner of the door (front side). A piece of the molding had broken off and the rest of that corner molding was cracked beyond repair. As for Accessories, don't lose any one of them because the exact amount is what is in the plastic bags. Might be confusing since some accessories are assembled. Made in Vietnam, maybe, by someone that shot at me in '68-'69!

    Worth every penny!
    Good item for price. I purchased the cabinet as a Christmas gift and was sure the qualiry would be very poor for the price I paid. HOWEVER, I was very happy with the quality and look of the cabinet after it was put together (without difficulty). This is s good vslue for the investment.

    This cabinet does what I need. The AR fits in with the grip facing the the back of the cabinet. A scoped rifle fits but at a slight angle.
