It's like jar jar binks is driving
I had such high hopes for this product as a star wars fan I was ecstatic to receive it.Air Hogs Had such a brilliant concept the look of this product was spot on paint and the little details perfect. The classic sounds are true to the movies which most toys are not. This is not a children's toy definitely an adult/husband toy. It's very hard to maneuver the sticks both have two functions which seem to contradict themselves. When flown near a wall or object the fan blades tend to suck sideways against the wall instead of continuing to fly along straight. Being super lightweight allows this toy to fly long distances but also makes for constant flipping over and not able to fly at all. The Battery life absolutely is terrible my laptop took one hour for full charge but my PS4 took a little longer. Then with normal play no hyperspeed it will give you ten minutes of good play then it will weaken and only spin in circles on the floor for another 5-7 min. With the hyperspeed it will last significantly less. This doesn't include the 6 AA batteries needed for the controller that are not included in the $90 price tag.The millennium Falcon is made of super durable foam we tested it to the max from tall drops it just bounces. The plastic fan blades are not cheaply made it will shred grass and leaves. The power of the fans is also a bit dangerous making it not kid friendly because they try to catch it and can get their fingers in the blades. We had an accident when my 3 year old my husband was flying it about 7-10 inches above her head and her hair was sucked up into the blades making a terrible matted up hair mess.It will be a display item on our Star Wars shelf for looks definitely not to play with.I can't recommend this for the price it just isn't worth it.

Cool toy as long as you don't expect too much!
In my mind when I was thinking about receiving this I was thinking it was going to be this huge space ship flying thru the air, well that is not even possible for a toy that is not worth a lot of money. So, once I lowered my expectations this toy is actually really cool. First of all is the size, I expected it to be a lot bigger but as seen in the pictures below it is a little bigger than an adults hand. It is made of Styrofoam which if it is going to be played with in the house at all is actually a good thing but it makes for a very fragile toy so if you have a child that is hard on toys this might not be the toy for them. As for the flying I would not say it flies its more like hovering but still it is really fun to play with. Make sure you buy a lot of extra AA batteries it takes six of them and the batteries are not included. It also burns thru the batteries really quickly. All in all its a really fun toy to take outside with the kids and play with in the yard or at the park. A must have for any real Star Wars fan!!!

Live out your PG Han Solo dreams
What kid who grew up in the 1980s doesn't want to fly the Millennium Falcon? I know I always did, Despite what Lucas said, I always thought Han Solo was, or at least should have been, the star of the original Star Wars Trilogy. I was a huge fan of Han and of course the Falcon. I cried when Lando betrayed Han and got him encased in Carbonite. I rejoiced when Leia rescued him from Jabba. I was STOKED to find he is starring in the new movie and still being played by the wonderful, awesome, super talented Harrison Ford (greatest American Actor, ever, in my opinion). So, of course, you can imagine my delight to find Air Hogs has come out with a remote control Millennium Falcon. This is a rather sturdy little flying toy. I was surprised to find it is recommended for indoor use only. But it is basically a four prop mini drone encased in a sturdy foam cover that is a very detailed replica of the Falcon. After a few minutes, I easily figured out how to make it hover and fly. With a little practice, I was able to get it to fly well. It charges fairly quickly and can even charge off the batteries (4 AA, not included) in the remote. Or, you can plug one cord into the Falcon from the remote and then another cord into the remote and into the wall to charge it. The remote makes sound effects that include hyperspace jumps, R2D2 and other classic Star Wars sounds. Overall, I really like this drone. I am very happy with it.

    Star Wars fun!
This is a great toy for anyone who can play video games using a handheld controller, or who has remote control experience. It was easy to install batteries and then plug in the Falcon to be charged by the controller. The controller houses the small charging connector and is easily put away in the compartment when done charging. It only takes a short time to charge, and then it's ready to fly. Because I am not as familiar with playing games using a controller, I had a bit of a hard time getting it to fly in the direction I wanted. The Falcon itself is very lightweight, made of some sort of foam-like material, but very sturdy. The controller is hard plastic, sturdy, with easy-to-move controls. The lights are very cool-looking and the sound effects are amazing. You can hear Chewbacca, R2D2, laser guns, and warp speed sounds, which makes it seem more realistic when flying. I would recommend this for any Star Wars fan who has experience with handheld remote controllers.

Amazing!!! So cool - such a hit with my teen
My son has had other Air Hogs remote control airplanes before, so I know they make quality toys that take a beating and keep working well. He's had one of his airplanes for 5+ years and it's still a favorite. This item was packaged very securely, however, was very easy to remove from the packaging. So glad toymakers have wised up to the fact that parents don't want to have to destroy the package and threaten the toy and their fingers with sharp blades to get at new toys. Just like other AirHogs products, this one takes 6 AA batteries (not included) that you install in the control unit with a phillips screw driver. There is a small pigtail that tucks away into the remote that you access through a small hatch that plugs into the RC vehicle to charge the onboard rechargeable battery. This one has a new feature I've never seen before in that it also includes a USB charging cable so you can charge from you compute - but it does come with the warning that if you use this you need to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the battery to cool down. The light indicated that the vehicle was charged in just about an hour - pretty standard for this company. Flying requires an open space - better outside. It does take a bit on this one to discover how the controls work, but once we figured it out it's amazing - it actually hovers and flies. Very robust too, since I don't think I ever managed a smooth landing, but the unit kept on taking off in spite of repeated crashes. If it lands upside down, it won't fly, and actually spins with enough force that it trimmed my grass. I can see this being a huge WOW hit on Christmas morning. Highly recommend!!

May the Force be with you; you'll need it
If you are a Star Wars fan or just fond of remote-controlled models, you will like this Millennium Falcon. It is a well-detailed quad-copter that gives the impression of the "real" model from a short distance away. It is not completely accurate, but will satisfy pretty much everyone except hardcore Star Wars fans. It is well-balanced in flight. The remote will make authentic movie sounds at the touch of a button. It also has lights that are on in use, which are awesome in low-light conditions. My teen boys have enjoyed this model very much, and say that the neatest thing about it is how it looks in flight. The body is made of a really light Styrofoam, so when it says "indoor use only," it means it! The slightest of breezes affects its performance. But the up-side to this is that it can handle crashes really well without breaking. I have a few concerns about this model. The first is how touchy the controls are. Unless the person that uses this has had previous practice with RC toys, be aware that there is a steep learning curve for figuring out how to control this model. However, since it is crash resistant, if you are patient this is not a huge concern. Unfortunately, this length of time required to learn feeds into the second concern. The battery has to be small to be able to fit into this model. As a result there is only about a ten minute playtime per charge, and then you must allow the ship to cool for about thirty minutes before charging it again. This can become frustrating when you are learning to control the flight. I have noticed that if you plug the charger into the model backwards (which is easy to do, since it is square), it will appear to be malfunctioning. The solution is simply to turn the charger cord around and plug it in again. The last concern I have is that it is easy to suck a piece of stray hair off the floor into the rotors, which causes it to bind up and stop the rotor. This in turn causes the entire toy to become off-balance.

AirHogs Star Wars Remote Control Millennium Falcon
I received this as a free item in exchange for my unbiased review. When I took this toy out of the box I was surprised by how lightweight it is. The material it's made of is hard plastic covered by a thick, resilient foam molded to look like the Millennium Falcon. It has bright LED lights that give a cool effect when turned on. It has a overall feeling of being sturdy and durable. The remote control is very sturdy, as well, and has some great sound effects. It takes six rechargeable batteries and has a built in charging cord for the Quad Copter. You plug the controller into your computer via an included USB cord then connect the controller to the Quad Copter. It doesn't take long to charge and is good for about 30 minutes of fly time when fully charged. I usually fly remote controlled helicopters, which are really hard to fly. The Millennium Falcon Quad Copter is a little easier and pretty stable. It was raining outside when I first tried it out, so I had to fly it indoors. I didn't do so well. LOL. I can't wait to get it outside in an open area to really give it a go. It has one advantage over the other choppers I fly...I crashed into the walls, furniture and ceiling many times without any hint of damage. I believe it will hold up very well. I'm looking forward to many hours of remote control fun with this great little toy.

    FUN....but limited flying time
I was pleased to be given the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Millennium Falcon to reveiw...with the help of my 11 year old grandson who has several Air Hogs and other drones. The Millennium Falcon is well packaged......but the Falcon, controller, and cable were easier to remove from the box than is the case with most toys..That was a plus.....I was surprised that the Falcon is smaller than I had expected....as is the controller.....but my grandson did not consider that a negative....He said that most Air Hogs are not very large...The material that the Falcon is made of looked to be on the cheap side.... but it is very durable....This is not a fly right out of the box toy....it needs to be charged....that took about an hour.....and the Falcon and controler need to be put in sync...that took a few tries.....Oh and there are the ***groan*** 6 batteries that need to be installed.....It was raining by the time the Falcon was fully charged so we decided to fly it indoors....not a great idea....even though the room is large with 2 story high ceilings and my grandson and his dad (yes, he had to play too) have experience flying drones....it crashed into walls and just about everything else during the 15 minutes of flying time we got from the charge..It's also quite noisy indoors and has a shrill sound that annoyed me..Since it needed to be recharged we decided to wait until the next day to fly it outside.....It was breezy the next day and because it is so light weight the Falcon did not do well in the breeze so the bulk of the flying was done that evening when there was no breeze....One thing we learned is not to try to get it to take off on grass.....that clogs the rotors...also, the controls need a smooth, light touch......The lights on it look great in the dark....it flew OK...only a few crashes...and it held up well.....We did have fun flying it until, once again, it needed to be recharged after about 15 minutes....my grandson said that the Millennium Falcon is sort of cool.....He's not a Star Wars fan so his opinion is based solely on it just being a remote control flying toy..... Consequently, I personally, wouldn't consider paying the high price it commands because it is Star Wars.....All and all..it is detailed, durable, and fun.... but the fact that it has more down time...needing to be charged...than flying time.....it requires 6 batteries that will have to be replaced on a regular basis....and the price...are negatives for me.....I think the Air Hogs Star Wars Remote Control Millennium Falcon is probably best suited for avid Star Wars fans....they would get the most enjoyment from it.....

    Amazing Star Wars toy!!!
Ok...I do not know where to start...But I have to say this has to be one of the coolest toy I have ever seen and played with!!! It just blows my mind how toys are nowadays...Not to mention it's a Star Wars toy :) The falcon is a bit deceiving...it is made out of foam...so it is so light weight...even the remote is not heavy at all...When I picked it up it felt light and honestly cheaply made...but don't let that fool you...Once you turn it on you won't want to put it down...My husband and teenage son loved it...they couldn't stop playing with it...I don't know if because I'm a mom it took me a while to get the hang of it lol...I did drop it quite a few times...but since it's made of foam nothing happened to it...the falcon lights up and when if you turn the lights off it looks amazing...it also has sound...and you could clearly hear the hoovering sound ..It could be a bit noisy..we used it indoors but can't wait to use it outdoors...Of course on a not so windy day...This toy would make a perfect gift :) the only not so good thing is it used 6 AA batteries...
