Very effective spreader
This is a very BIG spreader. It does not fit behind my rear bagging lawn tractor. I have to take the bagging supports off for it to fit. Also it needs to be open and shut when traveling around corners because if you stop and it is open the feed just drops on the ground. That being said it holds 175 pounds so you don’t have to fill it as often and it seemed to drop the fertilizer very steady. I will know more in a couple of weeks. I personally like this spreader because I have a large yard and you can work pretty steady with this spreader.

Very disappointed.
Well, the very first bolt that I was instructed to use to attach the adjustment arm was missing. Secondly, the center bracket in the plastic hopper (tub) had been severely bent. The bracket was not bent during shipment as the shipping box was not damaged. It left the USA factory in this condition. Apparently, Agri-Fab has no QC department. I have returned it and reordered a second one. Hopefully, the replacement will be better. If not, I will return it for a refund.

Uneven distribution and difficult to calibrate
Unfortunately, like most everyone else that has reported problems, no amount of adjusting will take care of the uneven distribution. Looking at the hopper from the rear, the RH side is always distributing less than the LH side. I've adjusted the triangular bar that is supposed to evenly open the the drop gate countless times and can't get an even spread. From even on both sides to a bias on the left vs. right, the feed remains too heavy on the one side. It appears that one of the agitators inside is slightly closer to the openings in the hopper and this is forcing the material out at a higher rate. No amount of adjusting will compensate for a bad design/build. I've also had to fiddle with the calibration for the amount of fertilizer to distribute. It is not very precise and easily goes from too little to too much when using fractions of the scale settings from 1 to 2. Also, the lever to pull to open the gate should be longer and angled for better operator reach. The frame, tires, and tub seem durable but that is of no point if you can't get it to work properly.

    I like it
Was relatively easy to assemble. One note, take the wheels off when bolting on the supports to the main tow bar. This for me is better than a broadcast spreader. Previously using a 2.5 cf, 125lb hopper tow behind broadcast spreader. Was looking to be able to get more precise coverage. This works for me. Plus the price came down on the drop spreader.

    Very satisfied buyer
The instructions are written in several different languages which made it a little troublesome looking for the English version. As for the spreader it is the best money I have spent on a lawn tool. It was so easy to hook it to the lawn tractor and start fertilizing. I have tried a rotary type before and was not happy at all with it. Used it twice, bought the drop spreader and now the rotary broadcast one is history. I used less fertilizer with this spreader than I normally do pushing the old push spreader. he fertilizer applied looked uniform on the ground what I could see on bare ground. The only thing I noticed was it seemed to use more fertilizer on one side compared to the other side. There is a little divider in the hopper. Rain is coming so I will be able to see how good I did at keeping the application even on my lawn. I used a 38 inch mower to tow the spreader, so the spreader is a little wider than my mower. So i had to be careful in a couple places so I did not hit a light pole with the spreader tires. I am very happy with my purchase. I have almost two acres and this made it so easy to apply fertilizer, versus the old fashion push spreaders. Wish I had gotten one of these years ago.

Good spreader well worth the money
This spreader was easy to put together. I just took my time and fully understood the directions. It took me less than a hour to put it together. Operational no problem used it immediately and it did a good job. The price was the best that I found and the ship time was great also. I will look at using Walmart again.

    Poor quality control!
When received flow plate had been installed backwards. Had to remove tires, axles and agitator blades to correct factory assembly error.

    Good Product
I purchased the spreader last spring purposely for spreading granular lime. I live on 2 1/2 acres which is mostly hilly and rotary spreaders have the weight of the lime setting up to high and on the hills tend to tip over. This spreader sits low and the weight is distributed over the entire width. No tipping over with this unit. It did just what I wanted. The only issue I had was the difficulty of evening out the amount of drop across the entire width of the spreader. It has two drop gates which are somewhat adjusted separately. With these gates being as long as they are some of the gates would open wider than the rest thereby dropping uneven amounts. As I said I was using it for granular lime which wasn't a big problem but may be an issue with lawn fertilizer. For that reason I only gave it 4 stars. It may be difficult to see in the picture but some of the openings are open more than others mostly towards the ends or center. The adjustment is made at the ends of the single connecting rod. In my opinion, if that rod was more rigid it wouldn't bend when opening & closing.
