100lb. Tow Spiker/Seed
I'm so excited to try this. My husband and I share yard work duties and I think that this will make it a whole lot easier. It's super heavy and I struggle since I'm a petite person but I know once it's all hooked up it'll run perfectly. This is a very well-made product it's very sturdy.

We received this today and put it together and the bottom rail that lets the seed or fertilizer come out at the bottom they put the adjustment on the wrong side and theres no way you can correct unless you drill new holes which we had to do. Ashame you pay so much money for this and have to fix it yourself!

    Aerating and spreading simultaneously! Who knew?
    We purchased the Agri Fab 100 lb drop spreader because it 1. Aerated while fertilizing and 2. Was not prone to tipping like the broadcasters. It does both jobs in spades. With the easily reached lever, you can adjust to drop only or to drop and aerate simultaneously. Excellent! One con would be that the hardware was safely in the box, but there was absolutely no organization. We laid a sheet on the floor, wrote the numbers 1-48 on 1 inch strips of tape, and sorted and counted the hardware, labeling the spots as we went along. We received all of our hardware plus 3 spare pieces. Assembly was fine. We don't do this every day, so our assembly took a Sunday afternoon, but it was well worth it. We would suggest you have a great ratchet for all of the lock nuts, and a good combination of noticing both illustrations as well as words helped us avoid backtracking. So, so happy we purchased this spreader/aerator.

    Difficult and time consuming to put together!!
    This took myself and engineer bf FOUR hours to put together. No pieces are labeled and you have to sort tons of bolts and screws and compare to the instructions each step. The instructions are detailed but not intuitive (ex: had you place the wheels on causing the nuts to be difficult to reach to tighten when it could have been done earlier and then placed on).. there are 24 figures and several steps for each figure. A washer was missing, things not aligned well, and holes painted over. Additionally you will need a full socket wrench set and standard wrenches and/or drill to put together. Highly recommend two people. I haven't used it to spread due to the extensive labor it took to put it together, but I'm doubting it will be a quality piece that lasts given the issues we had during assembly.

    Tow mode while seeding
    When seeding I had to tie up the wheels to keep them off the ground or when the wheels touched the ground it would lift the spikes and into tow mode. I tightened the bolts on the lever, but it was to tight and wouldn’t work properly so tying up the wheels work better. Works great though.

    Very disappointed
    We wanted to return it. It did not spike the ground with 240 lbs of Retaining Wall Block and distributed the fertilizer and seeds unevenly. I grass looks worst and then died and we followed all the instructions.
