The speakers have no protective cover. But the speaker diraphrams are strong and provide great sound quality. I am really happy About this purchase and love these computer speakers. This is a RV installation and I didn't have allot of room. but these fit in extremely nice. I have some nice computer speakers for games and music and movies. They also have usb thumb stick input and memory card slots and a RCA auxiliary input..They are a good bluetooth smartphone Pandora listening match. The only thing they missed is making a slide cover for the USB and memory card connections to keep the dust out of them when not using the built in mp3 player..they are my perfect solution for my sound issues. Well worth the money for use in tight desk and office setups... I'm glad I found them and got them..i hope you enjoy them as much as I have

    Good speakers
    They sound good for their size and price. I like them. I received a pair with a faulty wire - the left channel wouldn't play at all. The company politely fixed it up right away. Good service.

    First bad Amazon purchase
    The picture for this is terribly misleading. The actual product is the size of desktop speakers. The left spear did not work on arrival and the user interface is horrible. The directions do not tell you anything on how to use it/set it up and the remote does not work for it either. Horrible product.

    Great Sound Quality very clear and clean. For the Bass sound it's not too great needs a bigger sub woofer better to buy 5.1 surround sound but for a 2.1 it performed well.
