    I couldnt use it but i like it.
    My screen on my laptop is crumby so I bought the nicest and cheapest monitor I could find to help with editing video and pictures to the correct colors unlike my laptop monitor. However once I received it I realized my laptop didn't have the type connector that the monitor had. Complete bummer. I gave it to my husband so he could have a larger monitor than what he had. It works great. Its been over a year and we still use it. Its really nice. I wish it had worked like mine. I have never bought another and I am just realizing this... lol So back to looking on Walmart.com O would completely recommend the monitor.

    Acer S240HL 24" Monitor
    This LCD monitor was delivered to me in early March 2017. I read the included manual and easily installed the monitor with my computer system that evening. The screen brightness set at the factory (at maximum) was too high for me, so I consulted the manual to reset the brightness to a lower level. Unfortunately, the instructions in the manual to do this were not very clear and seemed to have been roughly translated from another language into English, which is why I rated this product with only 4 stars rather than 5. However, by trial and error, I soon discovered the proper technique and sequence for pushing the 5 buttons, located at the bottom, lower right of the monitor, to effect a screen brightness change. For my eyes, to minimize eye fatigue, I set the brightness of the monitor to only 20 percent of maximum. So far, this monitor works great, and I am pleased with my purchase.

    24 inch acer monitor
    Buttons to control this monitor are on the bottom of the screen. Instructions as to which button turns the monitor on and off are no where. An amateur might have problems. I purchased this on a special sale so it was well worth the money. Acer has been around for a long time.

    Good monitor
    It is getting four stars because of the manual, it leaves a lot to be desired. I had previous experience, We purchased one at the store for my wife's computer. You need to play around with the controls to get it where you want it. T liked the monitor well enough that I got another on for my computer. A better buy on line and it was shipped to the store in three days.

    perfect for what I wanted.
    It looks really good. and although the documentation isn't really clear, the setup and adjustments are pretty intuitive. I didn't need the documentation once I figured out how to navigate the menu. It looks real good with my RC "real flight" simulator, and after running the windows clear type, brightness adjustment, and gamma utilities, everything looks really good. a great monitor for a budget minded pc user.

    Good Value Monitor.
    The S240HL came with all necessary accessories required to hook up to the PC. However, it only came with a VGA cable and no DVI cable which is how I intended to connect it to the video card; I had a spare DVI cable so there was no need to purchase one for my setup. That is too date my one issue to date despite it being mentioned in the box contents on site prior to ordering. The menu is straight forward and robust enough to make adjustments simple to setup for my purpose and environment and has setup presets that most probably can use for their needs. Good contrast. Seems somewhat limited on the viewing angle, but for typical PC usage that should not be a real concern for personal workstation situations.

    Average features for a decent price
    Not bad product, light on features, the manual is very minimal. The on/off button is the big blue plastic feature in the middle at bottom of frame. For the price not bad, but should at least have an HDMI input. That is my biggest complaint is no HDMI.

    Acer Monitor 24 inch
    This monitor's screen is only white light when you are sitting and facing it right in the middle head on. If you move ever so slightly the screen goes off color and turns a goldish hue. It is very annoying. The picture is alright but nothing to write home about. The text at the top of the screen is grainy and hard to read. I wish i had known this before I bought it. I will be returning it to Walmart.
