First time out of the package, rinse it a few times. Best to stow it wet when not in use. Have used these for years for drying vehicles in my detailing business and at home. They work perfect, leave behind no lint as towels do and are very long lasting. In addition, using The Absorber for soaping the vehicle removes more soil from the paint than does a brush or wash mitt, leaving the paint looking better - but don't reuse it to dry the vehicle, as you will likely never get all the soap out. I use an old, practically worn out Absorber for soaping the vehicles. Sometimes I use a wet Absorber in the close dryer when drying soft or running shoes after having washed them as it can remove scuff marks. But wash the shoes by hand as a washing machine can seriously damage them. The Absorber is also great for washing and drying virtually anything, whether indoors or out. And for it's many uses, the price isn't bad. I always keep a few around at home and at work.

    Does what it is supposed to do
    Excellent product to have. I will probably buy a few more. It dried my Silverado very nicely. Only had to ring it out about 3 times to dry my whole truck

    Works Great!
    I have only used it once. I bought it to replace an old chamois which was disintegrating. It works as well as the chamois did (when new). I used it after washing my car. Now how long it will last will be the real test. At most I wash my car about once every two weeks, so if it lasts a couple of years that will be a real bargain at the price it sells for.
