Love the colors in this eye shadow
This review is for Almay Shadow Squad eye shadow in, “Ambition.” I typically do not wear a lot of dark make-up, so I was very pleased to see that the matte colors in this quad went on light but were very buildable, so I could make the color as dark or as light as I wanted. Even though it took a couple buildable layers of pigment for the matte colors, which I didn't mind, the shimmery and glittery shades in the quad were very pigmented and were able to go on with one swipe. The eye shadow wore well, and I am very pleased with this product.

Sheer Results, Lacks Pigmentation
Tha packaging of this eyeshadow quad is so lovely and stylish. Even being in my earlier thirties, I am drawn to the glitter and metallic shades in this palette. I am reviewing the Almay Shadow Squad in the color Cause A Stir. This eyeshadow palatte features four similar grey/brown colors in four different finishes: monochrome, matte, satin, and glitter. I love the idea of this concept, but the colors are very sheer when applied and tend to fade through the day. The monochrome shade is the darkest color in the bunch but it is very difficult to pick up color. This palatte is beautiful to look at in the package but doesn't perform well on the eye in my experience with it.

    Great color but deceiving
    I received the Almay Shadow Squad Eye Shadow from the Walmart Spark Reviewer program in exchange for my thoughts and opinions on this product. I am reviewing the eyeshadow color they call, “Ambition”. When I first opened the compact, I was worried about the color. It looked very brownish. Once I applied to my eyelids, it looked different on the skin then in the compact. Instead of being shades of browns it appeared it was different shades of purples. The Quad is not as large as I had expected considering four colors were in it. The height and length are the same as a AA battery. No applicator came with the eyeshadow compact, so you will have to get one of your own. I was not happy about that since I didn't have one on hand. When it came time to apply the eye shadow it went on very smoothly. The colored lasted throughout the day. I had no creasing in the center of your eye lid. I liked the four colors that came in the compact. They complimented one another and allowed for mixing and matching the colors as the time of day (lighting) called for. Even if you plan to use all four colors at once, the different shades will look great for shading etc. I'm very please with this product and would highly recommend to others.

    More pink in color than expected but will work
    I received the Almay Shadow Squad Eye Shadow from the Walmart Spark Reviewer program in exchange for my thoughts and opinions on this product. Once I applied to my eyelids, it looked different on the skin then in the compact. Instead of being shades of orangish pink it appeared to be more pinkish shades. The Quad is not as large as I had expected considering four colors were in it. The height and length are the same as a AA battery. No applicator came with the eye shadow compact, so you will have to get one of your own. When it came time to apply the eye shadow it went on very smoothly but I did have to apply many layers. I had no creasing in the center of my eye lid. I liked the four colors on my skin better than how they looked in the compact. I had to use quiet a lot of this color/shadow to get it to stand out. Maybe someone with lighter skin it may work better. I will say that once applied all the colors looked great together and complimented each other wonderfully. It is your average color and shadow. Nothing special but I liked I had no creasing at the end of the day.

    love four of same color together
    I love the Almay squad eye shadow because I always use white eye shadow at the top of my lid and I have several compacts that I have to look through to find the couple who have that color so I love having this color all together with variations in matte, glitter for evenings , metallic and satin. I have it all together now in one small compact and I have used this under the eye for illumination at the eye lid and it's so easy to play with as you can use more than one color to create a different look by blending them in as the colors are subtle when applied and the powder is very soft and velvety.

    Would Be Better if More Buildable
    These colors are on the warmer side. They are very beautiful but are hard to transfer and take a lot of effort to build. Even just using my fingers I had a hard time searching them. The makeup is very soft and I love the packaging, I just wish they transferred to the skin easier and were more buildable.

    Great natural look with a little shimmer
    I received the Almay Squad Eyeshadow Ambition for free in exchange for an honest review. I'm actually not a huge make-up fan and only wear it for special occasions. As a result, I'm not a make-up coordinating pro, and I prefer a natural look. This Almay product was perfect for my needs! Ambition was a great pallet and allowed me to use a few different hues and colors that were pre-matched and guaranteed to look great together. I loved the naural tones and hint of shimmer in two of the shades. Just enough sparkle to be subtle and not obnoxious. Great for my taste! This product does NOT come with an applicator, but I keep a package of applicators handy and sometimes even just use my fingertips for eye shadow application. Almay happens to be my personal choice (and my dermatologist's top choice) for make-up due to its high quality, hypo-allergenic qualities, and reasonable price point. I hope Almay continues to carry this color combination and product for years to come. Will definitely purchase!

    LOVE!!!!
    I absolutely love this Almay Squad Eye Shadow in Ambition. The color is very pretty with a brownish gray tone. It comes with 4 different eye shadows which all coordinate and go over well with each other. They look very nice layered. One is very sparkling with glitter, one is matte deep chocolate brown, the other 2 are a little glittery and more muted lighter brown colors. The case is nice and easy to open and close securely. The only thing I would change is I wish it came with an applicator or at least space to put an applicator. I like to carry my makeup in a cosmetic bag in my purse so applicators in the makeup is very handy. Other than that I really like this eye shadow. I have never tried any Almay makeup before and I have been very happy with this so I plan on purchasing more Almay products and giving them a try as well. I would definitely recommend to everyone!

    Pretty and trendy
    I got this in this particular shade because Ive heard purple eyeshadow looks best for brown eyes. I'm African-American and medium-brown so I thought this palette would pop. It's less intense than I thought it would be and takes a bit to build-up to get the color as dark as I like. But it still looks great. This eyeshadow goes on smoothly which is great and lasted pretty long. There's a glitter, metallic, satin and matte which I thought was pretty cool. Overall this is a fun and pretty eyeshadow palette and I would highly recommend.

    Almay Shadow Squad Eye Shadow, Unplugged
    I recieved this Product along with another of the ALMAY brand, I was not disappointed. This shadow like the other glides on like silk and the color is beautiful.. I do love having the blending, high- lite colors right there in this case. It just finishes the look. The Shadow stayed on all day and I did nit have to re-apply at all..This line of eye makeup I do like . I would Buy this line for sure!.
