Dangerous, even fatal
I don't understand, with all the current information available, why any store continues to offer this and similar products. It's like trapping your bird in a room of insecticide. And it will ultimately make your bird very ill. Just ask your vet or do online research. I have years of experience with parrots of all types and products. I can assure anyone, this is a dangerous product and should never be placed anywhere near a bird. Of course folks seem to think "it works great". That's because an indoor bird is not exposed to any of the things this product claims to protect against. For your birds health, stay away from these.

    Too late
    I got it to replace my cockatiel's old one. A few days later, he passed away. Just got too old! Have a cockatiel, you need to get and replace these at lest 4 times a year.

    Works great
    I have had a Blue Crown parrot (BJ) over 20 years. I don't know abouts mites but BJ will shread his feathers. I put one of these on the outside of his cage. He is full of feathers within a month. Works Great for us.

    Unbelivable
    My husband and I love this product. We have used it since we first got our cockateil. Our plates our in a cabinet under the bird cage, and every so often you get this fresh scent. I think it is great. It does not bother the bird in any way. I would recommend it very highly. If you hav two or more birds, it would be a necessity.
