Low Quality, Sub Standard, Poor Lenovo Service
18 days ago I purchased an Idea Pad 100 at Walmart. The microphone hasn't worked from day one. I contacted tech support today and there only answer is to send it in and get it fixed. It is a brand new machine that has been defective from day one. They accessed it remotely and confirmed that it is a hardware issue. I am very disappointed as Lenovo is usually a premium product. Then they suggested I just return it to Walmart however Walmart's return policy is 15 days and it has been 18 days so no luck there. Without the microphone I can't use Cortina or Skype. I would like a replacement that works. The only option they provided was to pack it up and send it in for service. It is only 18 days old and the mic hasn't worked from day one. Had I realized it was a hardware failure I would have returned it immediately. I tired tech support for the last two days and the sight was down so today was the first day I could get anywhere only to be disappoinedt. Overall the machine is very low quality

    Good compaired to similar pc's
I have gone through a total of 5 new computers in the past year. In that time I purchased each one at Wal-Mart and had each one fail shortly after buying (about 3 months usually). They were all HP's that were a similar price to this one. What I noticed is that the HP's put a lot of effort into looking nice, while not putting much effort into the guts. Making the HP perform poorly but hold up well. I found the opposite to be true for the Lenovo. It is made quite well on the inside. It runs fast I play World of Warcraft as well as League of Legends. I never experience latency or any lag related to my PC. I run the graphics all the way up, and it does not struggle. BUT as I said the Lenovo traded quality insides for poor quality exterior. The power button is located on the left side near the keyboard and right by where the power plug goes in. About half of the times that I set it down and come back I accidentally press the power button and shut the thing off. It is something that can be quite infuriating especially in the middle of a game. The speakers are very poor quality. I can't ever use them but that's something you can fix with a cheap pair of speakers. The microphone also doesn't seem to work on any of them from what I've seen in other reviews and mine is included in that, but again mic's are cheap. The last complaint I have is that I have had the computer for a total of 3 months now and the screws holding the bottom of the computer to the keyboard have stripped and now if you aren't careful when moving the computer it will literally hang off showing you the insides of the PC. I really only give this computer a good review because it is still running strong and I am still able to play games quickly, unlike the other computer I bought for a similar price which had complete hard drive failures. SO Long story short, if you don't have the money to afford a better computer and your going to choose between this and an HP get the Lenovo NOT the HP. BUT if you can afford to get something higher quality then do it, because this is not a high quality computer.

laptop good but windows 10 not so much
This is the second laptop I have had. used one at work now have one at home. It is doing everything they said it would and more. Windows 10, I am still trying to learn it. The favorite stuff on other os I think are still there but you have a hard time trying to find it. I came from windows vista home basic and was pleased with it . It died one day so I thought since windows 10 was the newest It would be a long time before I have change again. The biggest grip with this product is it keeps changing. when I get something set a certain way I want it to stay! This thing is all the time changing. Like opening edge I do not do face book and all the other stuff but it keeps coming up at the top about every other day. When I set it I want it to stay and quit changing and doing what it thinks I want it to.

    Great for price
Bought laptop today on a roll back price for 319.99. Was skeptical before the purchase because of the mediocre reviews. I think the poor reviews are people expecting performance like a 1000 dollar laptop. Laptop is performing great so far. Purchased due to the fact it had 8 gigabytes of ram. Figured Windows 10 might have trouble running off the 4 gigs of ram that some comparable hp laptops had. Laptop is running quicker than I expected.

Don't waste your time or money.
Had computer for 3 days and returned. On day 2 several apps wouldn't load, and computer became very slow to respond. Day 3 windows failed to work at all, then it crashed, and said a driver wasn't working. The speaker is awful, you can barely hear turned all the way up. The power button is on the side and if you have long fingernails, you can't push the button. The power cord is very thin and will get very hot if left plugged.

    didnt work for me
this is my exp with this model laptop my issue with this laptop is its ability to loose internet connection with ease. after cox communications tried 3 different modems and I bought 2 of these laptops and both have the same problem with internet connection If you hook Ethernet cable to it and modem it works fine but the wi-fi doesn't stay connected it comes and goes. it even lost signal even when cox communication was at my house watching it with me so just be aware of this problem with wi-fi. if you move around the house this laptop is probley not for you because if it isn't still it will loose internet connection without an ethernet connection when it is taken into and out of different rooms in house (at least that is the issue I have with the 2 that I have tried) I dont know of any major things about this laptop I should mention

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
This laptop has the worst possible power button position I have ever seen. Its located on the left front edge of the computer. I have shut this thing down several times just moving it. The speakers are the worst! They are so low in the highest volume setting you cant here them unless the room is totally quiet. I would not recommend this to anyone. The only plus is the 8gb of ram!

    Lenovo
The computer worked well out of the box and had no problems other then being shipped with Windows 10 installed, which MS is shoving down our gullet. Now that Windows 7 is installed on it, no problems. Two items of note, touch pad will not work when an external mouse is installed, works well with one or the other but not both at the same time. 2nd item, to get at the memory slot, HD or battery, is a chore as they are under the keyboard and not easy to access. So bottom line, if your not into getting under the hood and doing your own service its a good buy.

    Handy Laptop
This is my first laptop and I really appreciate that it's so lightweight! I also like that I was able to get Windows 10 at an affordable price, and it does have a DVD drive. What I don't like is the sound-very tinny-but I read somewhere that it needs a subwoofer. So I will get that or speakers I can attach.
