It is what it is......
This is a nice computer for those that just need to do general task. I have this computer dedicated to church work , emails, correspondence, power point presentations etc. Just watch your virus protection and use common sense when opening emails and this computer should serve you well.

If it sounds to good to be true............
This product has been a major headache. The made for Walmart laptop has never worked properly out of the box. The wireless adapter is defective and I have spent a couple hours trouble shooting with ASUS support trying to make it work. They recommended reloading the OS, wiping out all previous apps I had installed. The laptop is also riddled with pop up junk apps. This has been a huge waste of time and money. Now I have go through the whole return, reorder process. Ridiculous. Buyer beware!!

Good notebook but not the best choice
In this day such a computer ought to be delivered with a solid state storage "drive" from the factory. Replacing the old fashioned hard drive in this unit is particularly difficult due to the "unfriendly" construction of the base ... it no longer has an access panel for the drive.

    Solid performer
After two Toshiba laptops (with AMD processor) over 10 years I decided to go back to Intel and different brand. Since we mainly use our Chromebook and Ipads we had little use for a standard laptop, however we decided to get something basic but still had good performance. ASUS has been around a long time but mainly behind the scenes making parts for some of the most popular brands so I was not concerned about quality. The processor seems fairly fast for an older I3 chip and windows 10 runs very smooth with no issues. Keep in mind I have only had the computer for 2 weeks so more time is need to complete a real opinion, but so far so good. Would I recommend this product absolutely (depending on your needs) if you need something to just to store photos do a little video editing, email, web browsing, running Itunes, etc. this laptop will fill the bill. If you need something for gaming or high performance usage look elsewhere.

    Fine for the price
This laptop is fine for casual home use. The shell is a pretty sturdy plastic, not metal as I'm use to. Set up was quick and easy. I wish I had known to pick custom set up instead of express. I'm now stuck with Edge as my browser. Windows 10 blocks you from downloading Chrome or Firefox. I'm not tech savvy enough to figure a way around this. I wish I had known this prior to purchase.

    Good for the price
I have not had a new laptop for a little over 5 years and so I didn't even know where to begin.. A friend of mine said this was a better option compared to another brand based on the fact that I only use it for my finance, web surfing and Netflix.. The only issue i have noticed is the battery life, is not as long as I would like for it to be Other than that I do like the laptop.. Love the fact it has a number keypad on the side which is heaven for me...

    Computer case manufacturing issue
I am returning this item due to a manufacturer defect in the laptop case, that causes a loud popping upon resting palm on R side of typing deck. This ASUS also does not feature a "Caps Lock" indicator light, or a ""Num Lock" indicator light. The hardware features, RAM and processor are all good value and should provide a dependable laptop.

    Good performance for the price
Downloaded and can run Star Wars Battlefront in the high setting at 1080p and 60 fps, which suprised me - thought I'd have to run it in a lower setting. Got it as a xmas gift for my son who wanted Battlefront as well. Also running Minecraft on it smoothly. It was the least expensive laptop I could find with a GPU and dedicated ram for gaming.

    Laptop
I actually bought this same model laptop my freshman year of college, and i am now a junior. I have had absolutely zero problems with it thus far. Just like everything in the world, for the most part- if you take good care of it, it will last, and this laptop has done just that. I put a lot of trust into Asus products, and this laptop is a good example of how good they really are. As far as gaming...this is not your machine. You will not be able to run games at high settings. The i3 in the laptop is perfect for everyday college activities like writing papers, listening to music, downloading/uploading content, etc. For the price...this machine cannot be beat. The only thing I can say I DISLIKE is how cheap the overall shell to the computer is. It's definitely lower quality. It is the only con i can think of.
