pretty but.....
I bought this at Walmart. It's super cute, but I put it in the dishwasher as it says it's safe to do before using it. When done I noticed a hairline crack in the lid that wasn't there before washing it :( I suggest not putting it in the dishwasher. I haven't even used it yet and now it's garbage.

    Have had this beautiful butter dish for almost a year. Suddenly bottom edge of lid is turning blackish and will not come off.

    Needs a better grip holder
    This butter dish is really pretty. I do wish the handle was easier to grip. Her other butter dish looks real nice with a better handle. I wish I had that one. There is a small chip on the bottom, it came like that so I am sure in time that will be a problem. If I hit it the wrong way i am sure it will break. The colors are vibrant.

    ALL IN ALL A GREAT LITTLE BUTTER DISH
    WHEN I GOT IT I SAW IT WAS EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY IT COST. BUT THERE IS ONE ISSUE WITH IT. IT IS GLAZED BISQUE BUT THEY DIDN'T GLAZE THE RIM ON THE LID NOR ON THE BOTTOM DID THEY GLAZE THE LITTLE RIM THAT BARELY LIFTS IT OFF THE TABLE. THIS MEANT THOSE EDGES WERE A LITTLE ROUGH AND IF SLID ALONG A WOODEN TABLE THEY COULD SCRATCH THE TABLE. MY SOLUTION WAS TO VERY CAREFULLY BRUSH CLEAR NAIL POLISH ON THOSE TWO SURFACES. SINCE NEITHER PART WILL TOUCH THE BUTTER ITSELF I FELT IT WAS A SAFE WAY FOR ME TO FIX THE FLAW. I AM STILL VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE...

    this is so cute! Ages ago, I found a figurine with a butterfly on top (see pic )and it was 550.00! This is a great price for my dream figurine and can use everyday.

    Super cute but not the best quality, chips easily
    Super cute but it chips easily. I love butterflies so I was excited to get this butter dish. When I open the box there was a tiny chip in the butterfly. No big deal using a yellow and pink highlighter, I covered the chip up very easily and you could not tell it at all. It wasn't worth the trip taking it back for a five dollar butter dish. I used it on Christmas morning and after being used I noticed a couple of more chips on the butterfly. Once again, I used my highlighters to cover up the chips but I know this will not last long. I also noticed on one of the ends of the butter dish there seems to be an area that maybe when it was being kilned, it may have stuck to another one during production. There is an area that's not smooth, also the pattern does not line up on one end. You can tell it's not made with the greatest quality but I still love it just to sit on the table. I won't use it for anything except decoration, I wouldn't recommend it and i wouldn't buy it again.

    Kitchen cute!!!!
    A porcelain (?) butterfly is the handle on this dish. The lid is deep enough & wide enough for a 1/2 lb brick of butter or cheese placed on it's side. The bottom dish is a good red & the sides of the top are a cute polka-dot. Kind of a 50ish looking item.....which I really like!

    Pioneer Woman Butter dish.
    I bought this butter dish as a present. It is real dainty and very pretty and goes well with other Pioneer woman dishes. My friend loves it. It goes wonderful with all of her other Pioneer Woman dishes. It is very good quality and I really do recommend the Pioneer Woman dishes, for one's own use and especially for presents.
