Horrible Quality
One of pedal screw is defective. I thought I still could adjust it, using wrench. But the pedal fell off after a 10 mins ride. I was lucky. It could've been very dangerous. Setting aside the defective pedal, the brake is squeaky like many others here pointed out. I wasted my time and energy to assemble, and try to salvage this cr*p. Not worth your money.

    worst bike ever
I bought this bike and hooked up a kids trailer to it. At first shifting back in forth in the gears didn't seem to be clicking properly. Then I barely made it down the block before the entire back end of the tire bent. I was so mad! My poor boys had cried the entire walk home. In my opinion it's a poorly made bike.

    Basically Junk
I realize this is an inexpensive bike but, it is advertised as a mountain bike. I purchased around Jan. To commute to work about 6 miles all on streets so no rough terrain. Within a month the brake cables were so stretched I kept having to tighten adjustment to where it was all the way adjusted and still barely had brakes. Within 6 months the handle bar shifter little internal clicker/ stop the holds it in whatever gear you want broke so I had to physically hold it in a gear (got tiresome quickly) a month later the crank shaft literally tourqued in 1/2. Not the pedals etc. I mean the actual 1/2" thick piece of steel. I did not wreck or anything, I was riding up a hill when it felt like my foot slipped off the pedal, but realized the pedal was now laying in the street and the crank shaft was broken in 1/2. DO NOT BUY this. It will fall apart. When I contacted manufacturer they said they would send a crank but back ordered until November (it's August now). Then I would have to pay a bike shop to get installed. I told them don't bother, I'll just buy another bike.

    Good bike for the price
Bought this bike for my daughter to take to school. $80 for a bike!! Its work great for riding the 1 mile to class and back and I don't have to worry about her $400 bike being stolen.

    DO NOT BUY THIS !!!
This piece of junk almost made me crash in the middle of the road. 3 miles into my first ride, the handle bars came loose, all the way. At first I thought maybe they weren't tight enough...no, that at cheap and stripped out. Back brakes aren't real good, front derailleur has a had time going down to the smaller sprocket. Cranks also felt like that were slipping...and this was in the course of the first 3 miles of riding it !!! Its going back tomorrow morning, DO NOT BUY THIS THING !!!

    Overall it is very nice.
But, I already purchased one ergonomic seat for my Bike in Walmart. I need to change my Bike Seat, tell me where I have to go for that.

Buy assembled and test at store.
With regard to the product, the bike is pretty sturdy and overall we're pleased, BUT we originally went through the "Site to Store" process and the box containing the first bike was completely destroyed with holes, and missing/broken parts (reflectors: one broken and one with a missing spoke bolt), and most importantly, the rear wheel was completely warped so we had to return it to the store. We looked around the offerings in the outdoor garden center and were only able to find one other model like the one purchased and it had a note stating it was damaged (broken gears). The design of the bike along with lower than average cost, coupled with pretty decent reviews elsewhere still prompted us to look around again for this specific model, and luckily we found one inside the store in the toy department. We purchased it on the spot and I had my teenage son ride it around in the parking lot just to cycle through the gears and we've had it for a couple weeks now with several rides around the neighborhood and library trips. So far a decent bike for the money.

Great introduction to the mtb world
I bought this bike to explore the sport of mountain biking on the local single tracks. I had to adjust the rear mech slightly to avoid the chain from falling off and had to adjust the brake tension slightly. I also got some no-flat tubes and another layer if rubber between the tube and rim as the spoke needles poke out a bit and would have caused a flat on the first real bump. Of course this bike will not compare to one with better components that usually start in the 700.00 range, but after about 150 miles of relatively rough terrain, it is holding up well. Gears are slow to respond and brakes need constant adjustments. However, it is a reliable hardtail that has helped me learn that i love mtb as much as road biking. I will upgrade eventually, but this is the best 80.00 i have spent on a bike. I have dropped it, crashed it, jumped it, mash it in the back of the suv and it still keeps on ticking. If you are going to ride every day or on trails, get thw upgraded tubes, another layer of protection under the tube, and the brakes right. Otherwise, beat it up while you save the remaining 1,000.00 for the next level up. I also put a road bike seat on, but that is only because i had it. The one that came with it was fine.
