My daughter has this brand computer and it has been a good one. I wanted this brand but it wasn't available in the stores. I have enjoyed using it because it is fast getting on the web sights.

terrible
I have a 2 year old toshiba which is basic and works. Bought this for a Christmas present for my girlfriend and currently on day 3 of trying to get it to work and 8 hours of updates and installation. Supposed to be faster than mine but extremely slow. Over 2 hours on the phone with toshiba tech support which is aweful. Don't waste your time or money on this. Spend the few extra dollars on something else

    Not terribly impressed with this laptop
    I purchased this laptop just before Christmas, replacing a 5 year old gateway laptop. From the beginning, it runs slower than my old laptop. It frequently freezes and moves slowly when using Microsoft office and Microsoft money. It does have windows 10 which I am not a fan of. I really like windows 7, but thought it was time to move forward with the times and get windows 10. I have had problems using windows 10, but am not sure if it's me (user error) or if it's the laptop. I have been frustrated using the touch pad. It's too sensitive for me...I can just hover over it and the view gets really really large or small. A new problem started tonight...the CD drive is making a rather loud noise and making the entire laptop vibrate. As I type this, I am trying to install Hallmark software...the kind where you make your own cards and stuff. I have tried for about 2 hours with no luck...it's just not working. I have decided to remove my stuff from it and will be attempting to return the laptop...it just doesn't perform well.

    I love it excepi for 2 things
    Well worth the price! Super fast. However, if you are not familiar with Windows 10, don't expect to find any help on the laptop. At least I haven't found anything yet. I'm buying a tutorial. The other thing is it's sold as 500GB when there is really around 437GB. That's plenty for me, but I don't like false claims.

    Toshiba Laptop with Windows 10
    Two strong negatives which may have something to do with Windows 10: LOTS of flickering advertisements which I have so far been unable delete or stop; computer seems to run more slowly than my old laptop which ran used Windows Vista. But I'm still trying to figure out 10.

    I held off on my review to test the things i will use the most. I bought this laptop online a few weeks ago because my old 1 finally konked out from 07 and i am in school. I'm very particular about what I want in a laptop and it seemed to have all that i require as far as connections and technology.. Its simplistic design is easy to learn. One thing that really bothers me is that the speakers are terrible. like.. having it at 100% sounds like 35% max. Connecting a small external speaker helps. The sounds have an airy background and any notion of bass is super distorted even at low volume levels. I do understand that laptops aren't meant for real bass but the original sounds shouldn't be distorted just because the computer attempts to include those sounds. I am also not a fan of Windows 10 or Cortana (coming from a windows Vista/7 era) but i will adjust. Nobody seems to make 13 in screens anymore. This is a pretty large laptop. Keyboard is easy to type on. Battery is okay. You reach 50% at about 3 hrs realistically. Decent speeds and transitions from one program to the next. It sort of operates like a phone with apps and such. Overall, it does what I need to do, just nothing extra. I just wish the sound was better.

    I had bought a touch screen another brand. Return it would not connect to the Internet . I'm very happy with this 1. I stay on line and window 10 is very easy to understand. You won't be sorry buying this 1

    Great entry-level laptop
    Bought this computer as a replacement for my daughter's dying notebook computer. Great combination of memory, storage, and windows 10 operating system. Satisfying all the needs of the second year college student.

    Nice little computer
    I really like this computer so far. The only complaints I have to date are: 1. The touch pad is a bit to far to the left for my liking and 2. Can't get the screen to scroll with touch pad, it just magnifies. I am learning to compensate. For the money, a nice little set up.
