Very happy so far, very fast
No sure why one reviewer who was happy with the computer gave it 1 star and another person 1 star because of Windows 8.1 but happy with the computer? I bought mine January 2014 and I am very happy with it, so far. I bought the 3-year warranty, because my last computer lasted only 1-year. Good thing I had got a warranty on that one too. A lot of nice features on this computer, especially the ample number of USB ports, 2TB storage is a great feature, ease in setting up and running. I'm not a gamer, but this HP Envy handles all applications I have on it with no problems, no lag time, etc. Videos of all formats work well, internet pages load quickly, etc. etc. One thing I really like with this computer is that it is whisper-quiet. I have to put my ear up to it to hear the fans running. I like the mouse that came with it, but not the keyboard. It was too small for my fingers, and you can barely read the letters and numbers on it. Probably not a problem with touch-typists. Hope this review helps you.

    Excellent computer but MS software could be better
    I find the computer to be excellent, but the Windows 8.1 software drags it down. I think the computer would be better with Windows 7, unless you like a lot of useless doodads. I don't think the software is desirable for business usage. I have Office Home and Business 2010, but Win 8.1 would only allow me to load Word and Excel.

    8.1 windows stinks
    Hate 8.1. loved windows 7. Getting used to how 8.1 works. Don't like anything about it. The computer is fast but requires more clicking to do things I used to do with 7. Came with Mcafee, which is a program I don't like. Non stop pop ups telling me what it blocked and what it is doing. Just do your job and leave me alone. I bought this machine because I needed the speed , memory, and windows 8 to run a new trading program I use. I use my old computer for all my normal computer use, and use the new computer only for trading. Computer is good but windows 8.1 stinks. Should have bought a windows 7 computer. Had Mcafee years ago and had trouble removing it and all it's tentacles from another computer. Like other free virus programs better. Love Walmart.
