Synthetic Oil
To really judge how oil performs, I think it has to be tested over time. Most folks don't keep their cars long enough to know just how much difference there is between dino oil and synthetic. With that said, I have used synthetic oil long enough to know the benefits. I have maintained a friends vehicle since she got it new in 2001. 300,000 plus miles later, the engine still runs great. I have similar experience with a Poulan Pro riding lawn mower . . . 15 years of service and the engine is still as strong as the day I got it. Time between oil changes is extended vs. regular oil as well. I do use the Mobil 1 filters along with Mobil 1 synthetic oil. What makes it all that much better is that the price between synthetic and regular oil isn't all that much different as it has become more popular.

    Oil, filters and Grits
What do Mobil 1 synthetic Oil, Fram oil filters and Quaker Jalapeno Grits all have in common? Me, my wife and my truck. My trucks have used Mobil 1 oil since 2002, I have used Fram oil filters since my first new car in 1967 and I have never had a problem with either. My wife and I have loved Quaker Jalapeno grits since they have been making them, but are sometimes hard to find. Now the point of this review is that I change my oil about every five to six thousand miles which coincides with our usage of twelve boxes of grits. But instead of driving 35 miles round trip to purchase these items, I simply log onto Walmart.com and order them. Within 1 to 3 days Fedex drops them at my doorsteps saving me a couple of hours time and about 3 gallons of liquid gold gasoline. Convenient, time and money saving. What else can I say but Keep it up Walmart and I will keep on shopping. Thanks.

Conventional vs Synthetic? The choice is simple!
Over time traditional oils degrade O rings and other rubberized or plastic components that they come in contact with. Not to mention the caustic cancer causing risks associated with these standard oils when they come in contact with you skin. And after personally experiencing some valve cover gasket and engine seals starting to seep and slowly drip oil it was suggested I switch over to a full synthetic or blend to combat this issue. I think that was the smartest thing I could've done to remedy some of the problems related to conventional oil! I now own a pickup truck and I will only use synthetic oil in it as well as any other vehicle I own throughout my life. The extra cost of synthetic far outweighs the "cost" of conventional oils. When you look at long term effects and damage caused by regular crude oil vs the synthetics with their longer time between oil changes and their durability, the choice should be a no-brainer.

    Great oil and container
Best oil on the market. Easy to re-use plastic jug also serves to carry dirty oil to recycling center. For an oil change of less than five quarts, or for topping up, the sight gage on the side allows correct measuring. Turning the jug on its side when filling allows easy pouring without splashing.

Our “go to” oil for years
This Mobil 1 full synthetic is the way to go! We change our oil every 5,000 miles and drive about 20,000 miles/year. We buy cars 2-4 years old and drive them until they die…

MOBIL 1 ADVANCED FULL SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL 5W-20!!!
Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5W-20 is the ONLY motor oil I use in my car. While I don't drive a lot of annual miles anymore, I always change it once a year regardless. Synthetic oil causes less wear and tear on the engine meaning my 2012 K5 Optima should last longer. I have almost 89,000 miles on it, so hopefully it's in good shape. I've found that Walmart always offers the best price on it too.

Great Product at the Lowest Price in Years
Mobil 1 Oil has brevet to be a top performer if you intend to keep your vehicle for the long haul. Do not waste the extra money if you lease a car and be careful as many companies' warranty does NOT take into account using Mobil 1. You still have to follow their oil change policies to insure proper warranty protection. If you trade cars every 2-4 years the extra cost is not justified. Check with your dealer to see if changing the oil every 10,000-15,000 miles will void your warranty.

    I have a 2009 Honda CRV LX 2wd and gotten 105,000
My Honda CRV, which has over 105,000 miles, always uses Mobil 1. I tried others but for the price, it's best for my car. I have gone 5,000 miles or more per oil change sometimes and my car still runs great.
