Exceptional value
This is such a well made bike from a prominent manufacturer like Schwinn, and Walmart has managed to make it such an affordable value! First let me say that I had been pricing bikes on other internet sites, and when I saw this, I was immediately shocked and surprised at the value! Most other sites had it for nearly $200 and I was almost willing to accept that price; but here comes Walmart at $149, and I immediately purchased it without question. This is a great bike for beginning and intermediate use, and will not set you back like many of those 'other' bikes!

Better than GenisV21 but not as good as old Schwin
We used to buy Mongoose but they went cheapo so we purchased a Genisis V21 and it fell apart in two months of 13 year old boy use, he paid for it himself so I don't feel that it was abused it was just junk. Walmart gave a full refund so we went to the Shcwinn. The boy set it up and tightened up all the loose parts and it worked fine then he rode off of the curb and the rear rim went out of whack so we re-trued it and have had only minor issues with things coming loose and that was our fault for buying a cheap machine. You get what you pay for but I feel that out of all bikes stocked in our store that this one is the better one. They all use the same junky funky brakes and derails and un-tuned spokes on lightweight rims. This bike had rust on the fasteners straight from the store but again out of what they had to choose from I think it was the best. Thank you Walmart for the full refund on the Genisis junker.

Great Bike, Setup Took Longer Than Expected
I have owned this bike for about 2 weeks now and I can't be happier with my purchase. For the price I paid, the bike provides a great ride, a solid frame, and a comfortable seat. The bike itself appears to be very durable and well made. Gears work perfectly. This is a Schwinn product, so you can't go wrong. Setup was a little bit taxing for me. I had never assembled a bike before and the instructions were a little bit difficult to follow for someone who isn't familiar with bikes. I was able to figure it out in no time with a little help from Youtube. Overall, this is a wonderful bike and you can't beat the quality you get for the price. I would definitely buy another one.

    Not as good as expected
I grew up in a day when Schwinn bikes were considered the best. This one is adequate. First I noticed that it is geared lower than my previous Walmart mountain bike. It gets only three wheel revolutions per full pedal revolution in top speed. My previous bike got three-and-a-half. This may be perfect for up-hills but it lowers my average speed in high gear. There was a slow leak in the front tube but Schwinn parts shipped me a replacement quickly. Finally, the kickstand is very well made but not long enough. The point on which it mounts flexes too much and the bike will lean excessively and may even fall too easily. I lenghtened mine by 1/2 inch by adding some spacers but it really needs to be at least an inch longer overall. It does have a softer and smoother ride than my previous bike and for that and hopefully, great durability, I'll keep it.

    pretty solid bike!
I ride it 2 miles on the sidewalk to work everyday. I like how it rides, much better than the granite peak roadmaster or the hyper havoc bikes that I tried out recently. The bike is heavy and feels pretty solid. Only downside is that it wasn't assembled after site-to-store delivery. I assembled it without much difficulty but would rather have not done it. The front dérailleur needed some adjustment as it wasn't shifting to the highest gear. One tip for those finding it tough to put in the front tire: dislodge the brake cable out of the U-like assembly of the brake pads. The brake pads will spring away and the tire can go in.

    Good Bike
This is a good bike, it's not excellent quality, but the for that price, it's really good ! I had a problem to set up the saddle, because the screw tha't's supposed to tighten it was destroyed by the guy or the machine who put it in the hole. The hole had a fabrication fault, so a bit of steal was exceeding in the hole, so it desrtroyed the screw...

    Great bike!
I have only ridden about 50 miles on the bike since my purchase, but the bike has performed very well. Gear shifting is smooth, the overall ride is smooth as well. Also, I have had several people comment on the green and black color scheme saying that it looks great.

My son loves his new bike!
I brought this bike for my 16 year old son who is 6'2 and 365lbs. He was able to assemble the bike in about 20 minutes with ease. The bike comes already assembled for the most part all you have to do is put on the tires ,seat, peddles tighten, set gears and you'll be riding in no time. This bike has a solid frame which is great for my big boy:-) I can not say enough good reviews about this bike. I would definitely recommend it to friends family etc. You will however need a star key(that's what I call it) in order to tighten handle bars etc. you can get it from home depot. as for assembly if you are mechanically challenged you may need the help of a bike shop to put it together, set gears or whatever, other wise it's so easy to put together a 16 year old can do it. Happy riding!

    Great value!
Was a bit unsure of the purchase initially due to the lack of reviews, I took the plunge anyways. For the money you're spending, it's a great purchase. Most of my riding is done around the neighborhood and light trails. Out of the box it took about 30 minutes to put together, no issues with any of the parts or functionality. The front suspension is a tad soft, probably better for someone a bit lighter than me, but definitely still helps on bumps. The quick disconnect on the front wheel is nice, brakes stop quickly and the selection of gears is great. I was a bit concerned about the size, being that I'm 6'1" 185lbs, but it fits me great after raising the seat and handle bars a bit. The Schwinn lifetime warranty and stronger steel frame, albeit a tad heavier than alloy, were also a plus for me. Overall I'm completely satisfied for what I'm using it for and I'd buy it again.

    Good, but...
I recently got this to take to work about 4 miles away, after a week the chain guard broke away, its not essential, but my expectations were higher for it not breaking so soon. Still very functional and usable, just have to roll up a pant leg now. Cannot beat the price, no one else comes close. Wal-Mart gave me free shipping & I was impressed by how quickly I received my purchase
