Pocked and peeling chrome
I have had the bike less than a year, and have enjoyed riding it but... The chrome on the handlebars is pocked and peeling, making the bike aesthetically unappealing, one of the main reasons I bought this model. I keep it on my screen porch, along with my husband's bike, and his chrome is shiny and clear as the day he bought it. I no longer have the original receipt so Schwinn won't honor the warranty, even though I have proof of purchase through my bank statement. Poor workmanship, material quality and service.

    Glad I purchased this.
    *Read my star's above as a 4.5/5. Not a 4/5.* I purchased this bike pre assembled from the store. I took it home and rode it immediately. I'll get the negative out first: The bike sort of fell apart on the first ride. Not the manufacturer's fault, the assembly crew didn't tighten the screws. The only negative on the manufacturer side is that the breaks sound like an air horn. I've been riding it for 2 weeks now, and they still sound like that. So, I am currently on the hunt for new breaks. This is the only reason I deduct half a star. While they do stop me quite well, as they claim, I cannot tolerate the air horn effect. HOWEVER, do not let the negative deter you! I am a 5'6", 250lb woman with a bad back and very weak legs. I LOVE THIS BIKE! I enjoy it so much that last night I hit my first goal of 1 mile, and I am already sighting in on my second goal of 2 miles. The springs in the seat make my gravel, pot hole infested 1/3 mile long driveway seem like no big deal. It is amazingly comfortable! The smooth transition onto the pavement is a dream! As I stated before, I have pretty weak legs. So I really only use the easiest gear. But hubby tested it out with all gears, and assures me they change flawlessly. The colors are crisp and very eye catching. Visually and usefully, I am in love! I expect many years of use before I get too old to ride. (Is there such a thing?)

    Rarely do I wrote reviews, but this jubky bike warrants it. Avoid at all costs. Bothing but issues experienced woth this. Chain comes off constantly. Pedals are a constant issue with coming off and the brakes are absolute garbage

    Great bike for the price!
    Bikes look really neat. Comfortable ride. Installation was not hard, just need a wrench, Allen keys, and screwdriver. The only hard part was adjusting the breaks. Definitely worth spending the extra money and getting the bike with the gears.

    The rear derailer just fell apart in many pieces! The brakes are just a suggestion untill i spent time adjusting them. The wheels are as true as a country road. Whole bike is made from chinesiumn. Luckily i returned it with no issues

    Broken upon arrival
    Picked up this new bike and got it all out together, the front wheel is bent slightly. Not easy to get replacement.
