excellent idea but poorly constructed strap clips are very weak and broke first time i used it also the plastic stantion (leg) broke off dont get why they cant spend the extra penny and make the mold a little thicker on the leg and strap clip [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Good food plot spreader
Spreader is pretty nice for the price. I use it mainly for food plots and it does spread the bigger seeds like oats nicely. Its kind of a pain to fill by yourself because the sides collapse even with the plastic tabs that are inside the bag. My old one lasted about 4-5 years before the gears stripped out. Before that the shoulder strap tab broke and the plastic end of the handle came off. Both of those things are annoying, but not things that you cant work around. The solid plastic Solo spreaders look nice, but I hear they do not handle the bigger seeds, like oats, so overall this spreader is probably about as good as you can get for food plot work IMO.

gears and seed spinner made of plastic.
have not used it yet but by the sounds of the gears meshing when turning the handle they are made of plastic. not sure how long they will last with the noise they make.

    Not worth the money
I bought them to help with the snow and ice. They kept getting stuck unless you opened them all the way up. I'm returning them.

    Food plots spreader
Works good for a carry spreader. I use for food plots. Handles tiny and large seed equally well.

    Good spreader
Easier then pushing a walk behind spreader. Unique hand crank. Does not turn a full rotation, only about 90 degrees back and forth. Makes it very easy to use.

    Very pleased with this product
getting ready for spreading/planting grass seed in the spring. this is just the correct size for handling and will do the job nicely. There some bare spots in the woods road that will improve when some seeding is completed in the spring. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Remember I told you so !
I love this spreader. I have had this for some time, but only used it to spread grass seed. When useing my Scotts edge guard pro I was disappointed with the way it thru most of the Milorganite to the left. I thought if I used my Earthway I would be filling the bag most of the time. After watching some videos on You Tube I thought I would give it a go, as the Brits say. Now I don't know if I will ever use the Scotts spreader again. I love the fact that the spreader is at hip heigth thus higher off of the ground, giving a wider coverage pattern. One can control the pattern easier by the turn of the body, reversing directions. Tilting the spreader will give you control of the pattern side to side. I like carrying the product rather then pushing across the lawn bumping along the lawn on the small wheels. Plus if you buy a quality push spreader, this would cost at least 1/3 the price as the push style. Last but not least you can store this in a 1 foot x 1 1/2 foot space or hang it on a nail against the wall. I may take about 1/2 hour getting use to it, but I know I will never use my push spreader again. Buying from Zoro you wil find this is an excellent place to shop, with very good prices.
