Incredible bike, Amazing value!
I ordered this bike for my daughter's 10th Birthday. It was not in stock so they ordered it site to store. Site to store does assemble upon arrival of the item at no charge, you just have to ask. They only have assemblers to build the bikes in the store 1 day a week. The bike arrived on Wednesday and was assembled and ready for pick up on Monday. I was so impressed at the quality of this bike and how great it looks! After looking at several bikes, I was also very impressed by the low price since this has an aluminum frame which makes it much easier to maneuver and pick up. Most bikes I looked at were steel frame, and prices ranged anywhere from $149.99-$299.99. At $139.99 assembled free of charge, this bike is an amazing value!

Junk. Don't buy.
Bought it for my wife. Front tire was slightly bent. Had to adjust brakes so they were not rubbing against the tire. After 1st week, rear tire wen't flat. Took tire apart. Patched the hole. Filled it back up with a hand pump to the recommended air pressure. Tire inner tube then separated at the seam. Wen't out, bought a new inner tube. Attempted to put the rear tire on. Rear bike fork frame is deformed. Picture A is the inner tube. Picture B, I am holding a socket extension to show the length differences between the rear fork. Picture C is showing how far forward the bolt on the left side of the tire has to be in order for the tire to be straight. Picture D, both bolts are all the way to the rear of the fork and the tire is turned to the left. I am unable to put the tire, chain and gear selector back on because of the deformity. Apparently the factory, I'm guessing in China, did whatever they had to, to put the bike together, shipped it out and it was no longer their problem. Will never buy Mongoose again. Will never buy a bike from WalMart again. Was cheaper and less stressful scrapping the bike for parts for another bike then trying to send it back.

    Petals hit front tire!
I am not one to submit product reviews but felt lead to in order to save someone else the pain. After an hour and a half of putting the bike together (majority of that time is adjusting the front brakes) i realized when you slightly turn the handle bars the front tire hits the petals!!! Clearly this bike frame was made for 20" to 22" tires and should not be sold with 24" tires. I honestly don't understand how both Mongoose and Walmart can allow this product to continue to be sold on their website. DO NOT buy this product. As a young kid i absolutely loved my Mongoose BMX bike. I now have serious reservations about the company after this experience :(

    Good bike for the price
I got the bike a few days after ordering it online. It will t ake about 1 hour to assemble the bike if you follow the instructions. It took me longer because adjusting the brakes properly is important to me so I took the time adjusting it. Overall, it put together nicely and the bike feel well built. The gears shift nicely and it was smooth riding it.

    New Bike
I bought this bike as a birthday present for my daughter. She is 4'11''. Overall, she loves bike, but her only complaint is that when she is turning, she has to be careful of the position of her pedals because if she isn't, her foot hits the front tire. I even tried riding it myself, and when I went to turn my foot hit the front tire and I had to jump off the bike to avoid falling. I would not recommend this bike for beginner bike riders. A friend put it together for me, and it seemed like that was not too hard. I asked my daughter if she wanted me to return it and exchange it for something different and she wants to keep it. I like that the gears can be adjusted as well.

    24" Mongoose
Purchased this for my Grand daughter. The shifter started acting up two days after she started riding it. Won't shift past 4 th gear. Will have to take it back.

You get what you pay for
We were looking for a mountain bike for our 12 year old daughter and decided to get one that wasn't quite at the bottom of the pile, but also didn't want to spend over $200. I read the reviews here and elsewhere and decided that either this bike or a Schwinn would do the trick. My daughter liked this one better, so this is what we got. Our local store did not have one, but the next town over did, so we picked it up there. It wasn't until we got it home that I noticed several items. First, the front brake line had a bad casting on the end that feeds into the hand brake which caused it to be loose. The only way to tighten it was to crimp it tight, making it look ugly, just do she could ride it. I will have to go and buy a new one to fix it right. Then, I noticed that only 1 of the 4 brake pads were aligned to the wheels, so I fixed those. Surprisingly, both wheels were straight. Plus, the gearshift indicator on the left handlebar does not point to the gear it is in. Not even close. Next thing is the lettering and graphics. These are just stickers and every one of them is either crooked or crinkled. It would look better without them, in my opinion. The kicker is that her friend got the $99 Huffy also being sold by Walmart and it appears much nicer than this bike. I would return this bike if my daughter didn't like it so much. And I guess that's what counts the most.

    Bought for daughter's birthday
24" bikes are difficult to find. This is a great little bike. Our daughter loves it and has already logged many miles on it. Very happy with this one.
