Finally no more buffering
I took the Google Wifi out of the box, had it hooked up, and the app downloaded in minutes. Scan the QR codes on the bottom to configure your network, give the new network a name, and set a password, then add devices you want covered. If you have a larger home over 1,500ft, you might need two. You can prioritize bandwidth with time limits, helps with parental control. You set the time limit for their device on the app, it will stop it for the time you allot. If you have Google Nest, you can use this with it also, I love it! No more buffering while watching movies, or lagging, everything loads so much quicker, I can also do an internet speed test on the app. to make sure it's up to speed, and it updates on it's own. No more dead spots, everybody uses the internet at once, and finally being able to watch a movie without the spinning wheel, and a teen that no longer has dropped calls. Going off-line way to often. Frustrating !!! Don't know why it has trouble communicating with the points. Many times have to restart the network. A real hassle, but when it works I really like the features of music and improved range of wi-fi.

    Wi-Fi point has gone rogue
    Oh the Wi-Fi point stopped working factories set up cannot fix it read reports that once it reaches this point of no working the best thing to do is to get a new one it's expensive can't do it. My only use of the point is a speaker there is no extension of the Wi-Fi signal really miss it Router and point aren't communicating with each other. I have exhausted all my energy and time to try it again I have replied in the past to google and they've never replied so I guess I'm on my own I hope you can do a software or some thing that make it up and run again thank you Rick

    Great at first, now mesh is dropping
    Very easy install and worked flawlessly for about a year. For some reason our mesh has become unstable and requires restart of network to reestablish connections.

    Doesn't live up to the hype
    I had high hopes for the mesh system, but it's not good. I have 1. 2 gbps fiber in a 2,600 sq ft house built in 2017 nd have the Nest wifi router with 3 points.First, the wifi is terrible at going through floors. I originally had the router directly below the upstairs wifi point, but the mesh indicated a weak connection. I now have the points in the hallways in somewhat of a line and the connection is much better.However, saying they're better is not saying much. I only get about 70 mbps in my farthest point. When I do the Google Home test, it indicates my speed is 750 mbps (another deceptive thing is that the test is the speed to the original router...). The points are not far apart and far exceed the Google recommendation for the size of the house, but the speed is still 10% of what it is at the router.Another annoying thing is that sometimes I'll perform a speed test and get very slow (<10 mbps) speeds. Turning wifi on and off fixes it.I love Google, but don't get this.

    Works fine
    I have no complaints. Please keep in mind, I'm using this device in an apartment and not a house with upstairs or downstairs. My connection has been consistent, no indication of the device becoming disconnected at all. It paired well with the Arris Surfboard SB6183 with Optimum service.

    Not sure what it's doing for me….
    Maybe I'm just technically ignorant, but I can't figure out any way that this expensive piece of technology is helping my home. I was hoping it would improve the WiFi reception in my 1000 sq ft home, but it's the same as it always was. What am I missing here? I am a Nest product lover….I have it all, but this might've been a giant waste of money. Sad day!

    Far Exceeds Expectations
    Had to switch from one ISP to another and their modem's WiFi could not reach from the living room to the master bed 25 feet away. After coming out twice to check and switching to a brand new modem, they still couldn't get it to work. So I said forget it, and decided to buy this. I have a 1300sqft home and this is supposed to cover 1500sqft, but I still get full signal anywhere on my property. I'm so happy I bought this and would recommend it not only for the performance but it's super simple to set up through the Google Home app.

    The original packaging was opened, the wifi point would not activate, after factory reset and help from Google Techs, It was still unresponsive and not able to activate.
