Great buy
This bike is just the right size for our six year old. He loves it! I really like that it comes with the training wheels as well.

    Awesome bike
My 6 year old loves it. He has to grow into it a little but that's about it. So I would measure your child first before ordering this. He's 3'6" so 3'7" and above this would be perfect for them. on site assembly available. Didn't do this though my father and I easily put it together at home.

    My 5-year-old Loves It!
We purchased this bike for my 5-year-old who was outgrowing his 16-inch-bike. I looked around a little in stores and online before deciding on this one. 18-inch-bikes are not as easy to find as other sizes, so there aren't a lot of choices. This bike arrived much sooner than we expected, which was a happy surprise. The package was a little damaged on the outside, but everything inside seemed to be okay. My husband was able to assemble the bike in a relatively short period of time, and my son was riding it within an hour or so of it being delivered. He loved the way it looked when he saw it at Wal-Mart, and even his dad thought it was a cool-looking bike. (We had already ordered it for home delivery when we saw it at our local Wal-Mart--the website said it was not available at our local store, but they had several of them.) I like the fact that it has hand brakes and coaster brakes. It seems to be solidly constructed, and my son has been riding it for over a week with no problems so far. (The front reflector lens fell off almost immediately, but that's a minor issue.) We did not use the training wheels, so I cannot comment on those. My son has been riding without training wheels since he was three and a half, and now with this new bike, he thinks he's really cool. I would definitely recommend this bike. I think it's a pretty good one for the price.

    Great bike, instructions are lacking
We purchased this for our 8-year-old. He is above average height and very comfortable riding a bike. He was looking for a bike with pegs and this was a good size and style for him. So far it has been sturdy and comfortable. The handlebars and seat are very adjustable, so we were able to get it to fit his size. I am grateful to the other reviewers for pointing out that the bike ships with the stem connected upside down to the handlebars. You have to take out the 4 bolts and turn it around as the first step of assembly. This is not at all explained or even implied in the instructions, but I think it has to be shipped that way to fit in the box. This does not come with assembly tools. You need two sizes of allen wrenches. They are the sizes used most commonly for bikes and my husband has a bike tool that had both sizes. The hand brakes were difficult to adjust and we were not able to get them to work completely. I'm glad it has the coaster brake as well because I would not feel comfortable depending entirely on the hand brakes. Overall a very good value.

Overall great bike for the price
I searched high and low for an 18" boys bike and struggled to find one less than $140. I finally found this one, read some positive reviews, and placed my order. However, set up was terrible!! Setup was going smoothly, until we had to use the allen wrench to loosen 4 screws and flip the stem to attach to the main frame. Two screws loosened with no problem, the other two were oddly different sizes none of the allen wrenches would fit in, either too large or too small. We ended up having to use WD40, hammer the allen wrench in, push down with much pressure then turn it. This was all with 2 grown men doing the work, I would never had been able to do this on my own and my son's Christmas would have been ruined!! The same process was needed to tighten the screws again. An unbelievable process for a bike, next time I would pay a little more for a pre-assembled bike instead of trying to cut corners.

    great bike, but NO kickstand
My only complaint is that it does not come with a kickstand. This could have helped my 6 yr old grandson learn responsibility in taking care of things. Without a kickstand, the ONLY option he has now, is to hopefully lay, but probably throw it on the ground or against something and risk tearing things up. I gave it to my grandson on 12/27/13 and already, one of the rubber handles has a hole/rip at the end and the peddles are scratched and rubbed at the ends. Grrrrrrrr.... You shouldn't have to buy a kickstand separately.

    Good bicycle for the price.
Purchased bicycle for grandson's Christmas present. Bicycle appears to be well constructed. Walmart assembled the bike so I can't comment on ease of set up. Bike was delivered in great condition with no broken parts or paint chips. Training wheels are standard as shown in picture. Must buy kick stand up front if training wheels are not required or later when required. Noticed chain guard is plastic and not as durable as steel. However, other bikes in this price range also use plastic chain guards. Great service and on-line purchasing experience with Walmart.

    Good deal, good price
Our grandson is still on trainers on a way-too-small 16" bike. I wante to get him a no-trainer 20"bike with specal features like front and rear handbrakes plus coaster brakes to make the transition smoother. Unfortunatley, he's too short. So we gave up on the desired features and bought a cheap (smaller)bike that disapponted us all. THEN we saw this one and immeditely took the cheaper one back. It fits perfectly, has the double braking system, looks "cool", and has the perfect size transition...PLUS it has pegs for "freestyling" on the front (which HE really wanted). It also comes with trainers, but can be removed VERY easily. Also, it's made much better than the cheaper bike, and that makes me happy. We also bought "Slime" and thorn-proofed the tires since we livin the desert and thorns are everywere.
