    It does work.
    Regarding comfort, sure, but for me, recovery has required as little walking as possible, using a cane to lessen the weight on my right foot, keeping my leg as elevated as possible, as well as taking cold compresses. decent bargain.

    Comfort.
    In comparison to higher up on the calf, the brace probably needs greater support and contact points close to the ankle or heel. I had to tighten these two straps really tight because I have rather short calves, and even then, there isn't much of an improvement in ankle stabilization. I might use this largely at night when I want to use something less constricting and apply an ice pack to my ankle.

    Bad for people with big calves: variations in ankle size
    I have large calf muscles and small ankles, therefore this brace was not enough adjusted to offer stability. It moved and excavated in several places.
