Met expectations
I am extremely pleased with the Dyson cannister vacuum. The packaging was easy to open and recyclable. No tools needed to put vacuum together; easy to snap on tools and accessories. Light weight and easy to store. Not as loud as my old cannister vacuum that uses bags. If I could change one thing it would be that the cord were longer. I love this vacuum. Worth every penny!

Great performance ,easy to handle
I already own the Dyson Animal Upright Vacuum and it has become too cumbersome and heavy to handle. I find the canister to much easier to handle and is able to vacuum under furniture ( I had to move furniture with the upright). I am so sorry I didn't get this one in the first place. I have 2 cats, and the canister's suction is just as effective.

    Having used an upright for years, this takes a big of getting used to...but with nothing but hardwood floors to vacumn, it's perfect. Great suction, beautifully engineered, and at a price that was $150. LESS than another retailer (name starts with "T"). Wouldn't be appropriate for carpeted floors.

    Every home needs this tool.
    I own a cleaning company. I find this vacuum easy to use, easy to store but the best part is... It's fun and smart. Best canister, best value...best choice.

    Great from the floors to the ceiling!
    Great carpet vacuum, excellent on hard flooring, and really gets the dust off of the shelfs! The bin fills a little quickly, but it's easy to empty and start again. Great for even a mid sized house. Small size, strong suction, and is fairly quiet. Comes with the turbine head, hard floor tool, and two attachments, which is enough to clean the floors, shelfs, and furniture.

    Excellent multi purpose vacuum!!
    I absolutely love how simple this vacuum is to put together and use. It is great for multi floors as specified and works great for cleaning hard to reach areas like air vents and dusty popcorn ceilings. I am more than pleased with my new dyson. I would highly recommend it!

    It's a great vacuum - suction is better than my Animal which is now about 10 years old. As expected with Dyson, each model is improved. It works wonderful on my laminate floors, it vibrates and knocks all the cat litter out of the cracks. A huge plus! Loved using it on my carpeted stairs - it works great, and is so light it made it easier than ever. The only downsides are: the cord is shorter, so with a big room you need to unplug, and replug. I have a ton of tools for the Animal and assumed I could use them with this also. Sadly they do not fit - they are too big. A great vacuum and I would recommend it to anyone. Dyson technology is well worth the price, and having tried others with "wind tunnel technology" they don't even come close to this.

    Worried about hype and price of Dyson. Long story short. Was worth the money for hard working, dependable vacuum. Fine dust in canister, easy to clean and store. Light weight and easy to operate. Would purchase again as well as recommend as the vacuum.

    I have another but Dc23 and have the same suction!
    I buy the DC26 because I need something more light for my spine (scoliosis), I have my old vacuum, steel working great a DC23. I was worry for the power, but is the same, the only thing is I must empty the vacuum more often because is really really to much more small. I can't be more happy and I don't get out of my surprise. The another thing is the turbine brush in this vacuum is to much easy to move forward and backward and that is a big relief to my back. Really one more thing, is something very logic. Because when you pull the hose this vacuum is more, well really really to much more light, you back, arm, shoulder and hand don't feel so much pain.
