What a difference the machine can make.
I've used Krups and Cuisinart coffee makers for the last decade. I almost passed up this unit because it lacks the programmable start feature. As I though about it I realized that I drink coffee all day. The two hour shut off most makers have is a hassle. (Cold Coffee) This unit brews the entire pot in about 3 minutes. I can get used to waiting 3 minutes for my coffee. Setup is a bit different. Read the directions or you may damage this unit. When you set this ting up the first time you will pour two pots of water into the machine. The first pot goes into a heated tank that preheats the water to the perfect starting temperature for the next brew. The second pot will replace the heated water that brews your first pot of coffee. This unit has two power switches. One on the left side near the back that pre-heats the water for the next brew. The one shown on the front powers the hot plate under the pot. You leave the reservoir switch on all the time. (Again, read the directions) You really only control power to the hot plate under the pot. I brewed my first pot using the same coffee, and amount of coffee, that I normally use. Without question it brewed a better tasting pot of coffee. It's fast, it's quiet, and the coffee tastes better than it did with previous units. For this I gave up the programmability and auto shut off features. It was worth it.

Very unhappy with this model.
Need to use double filters because they fall over while brewing (I was using Bunn filters). Also leaks coffee all over if not set EXACTLY where it poors into pot. VERY dissatisfied with this model. My last Bunn lasted 10 year and I never had these issues. Too bad they no longer make that model.

The Bunn coffee maker was all it was advertised to be. I feel like I am having coffee at a restaurant or coffee bar. Taste is amazing and brews fast.

    Excellent
My first Bunn coffeemaker lasted 17 years, my second one lasted 10 years and this is my third. Bunn coffeemakers do not work like other coffeemakers so it is very important to read the instructions before setting up. I have a hot pot of coffee in 3 minutes every morning, I would never buy anything else.

Overall look was good very sleek and refined. Disappointed about the pot handle it is loose and fragile not sure I will ever make a full 10 cup pot.

    Great coffee maker!
If you purchase this coffee maker, you will not be disappointed. We have used Bunn coffee makers for years, and Walmart if the place to order, or in-store purchase!

For real coffee - Get a Bunn
This brews at 200 degrees which is the correct temperature for excellent coffee. I have owned Bunn for decades. Never disappointed. I am a coffee snob and grind my beans bought whole at specialty stores. Out of curiosity, I tried a Braun and sent it back the same day. Their brew temp starts at 120 degrees and ends up at 182. Awful coffee. I called Braun and was told that is the temperature it is set for. Back to Bunn.

still a good product but has dropped in quality
Last Bunn coffeemaker lasted around 5 years, I don't know if this one will do as well. It makes delicious coffee very quickly, what it is famous for. The components like the warmer are noticeably lower quality than my last model. The new one has a warmer that is cheap & thin looking compared to the old. I also notice a burning plastic smell that my last Bunn brewer didn't have. It isn't terrible, but I've had it a month & it still is something I notice when I lean in to wipe off the counter top (it sits in an alcove below cabinets). I have to get close to notice it & I have a pretty good nose, so it isn't horrible or making me fear it will burn the house down.

    3 mins and hot coffee!!
That's right - 3 mins and hot coffee!! If you are in a "I neeed coffee now mood" the Bunn BX is for you. It is smaller than most coffee makers - fits under the cabinet well and did I say "3 mins and hot coffee!!" The coffee maker holds a second water tank and that is why you get coffee so quickly. The black/stainless steel looks fits well in any kitchen or living room for the lazy coffeeholics out there. Uses regular coffe filters - the basket kind or a gold mesh permanent filter basket. it's also made by Bunn - one of the world's finest coffe makers. It could be restaurant quality equipment and such a good price - under $100. Some more benefits are: Brews 4 to 10 cups (20 to 50 oz) in about 3 minutes. Glass carafe and porcelain-coated warming plate with lighted on/off switch. Unique sprayhead ensures even, complete coffee flavor extraction. Stainless steel internal hot water tank keeps water heated to optimal brewing temperature of 200 degrees F. Product Built to North American Electrical Standards. One noteable difference between this and most previous pour-over Bunn models is that this unit does not require the use of a seperate water pitcher. You simply fill your coffee pot with water, lift the little door on the top/front of the unit and pour your water in. The most important step is to place the coffee pot on the warmer plate, being sure to center it properly, before lowering the lid on the top of the coffee maker. As soon as you lower the door the water will start to flow quickly. If you lower the lid before you place the pot underneath, you will likely end up with a bit of a mess. I recommend that you insert your filter and pour in your measured amount of ground coffee before pouring water into the Bunn, because even with the door up I find that some water tends to drip from the output nozzle, causing water to drip down onto the warmer plate. I fill my pot with water, set it aside while installing my filter and ground coffee, then pour in my water, center the pot on the warmer plate and then lower the door. This has produced proper function every time, without any mess to clean up. Also I don't believe in using vinegar to clean - had mine for 12 years before I had to replace it. Definitely recommend.
