Preparing for a new baby can seem overwhelming, but with a little planning, you can get ready to welcome your bundle of joy without breaking the bank.
Start by setting up a baby registry and filling it with the items you need most. Be sure to include staples like diapering supplies, baby bedding, bottles and/or breastfeeding gear and one-piece newborn clothes. Since babies grow quickly, include clothing items in larger sizes as well to save yourself trouble and expense later on. And don't forget a crib for baby to rest her head on.
You'll also want to pick out essential supplies for transporting your baby, including a car seat and stroller. Many parents also find baby carriers to be a great way to transport infants while keeping them close to mom or dad.
Having bath supplies on hand is also important. Choose a newborn tub with a sling and soft towels and washcloths that are gentle on a baby's delicate skin. Tear-free baby washes and gentle baby oils and lotions can also help make bath time pleasant for you and your little one.
As your child gets older, you'll find Everyday Low Prices on a wide selection of baby and kid products at Walmart. And be sure to check out our Parenting & Baby Center for tips and advice on getting ready for your baby and nurturing your growing child.
